Boxycharm went dark and mysterious with the theme of their October box! Everything was black and intense. You ready to see all the fun products included in this month’s box? Let’s get right into it, then!
BoxyCharm’s August Unboxing / 2015
BoxyCharm has to be my favorite subscription box out there. While it’s a bit more money than the popular Birchbox or Ipsy, I love the fact that you get all full-size products in each box. And even if the product I received isn’t something I would use, because they’re full size products, they make great gifts!
This month was a really, really great month for me! Ready to see all the products I received in my August unboxing?? Just keep reading…

Subscription services are so much fun, because it’s like it is your birthday every month. And who doesn’t love getting gifts?! Especially when they’re all related to beauty!

What’s Inside BoxyCharm’s November Box
BoxyCharm always does a beautiful job with their packaging. They really make it special to the receiver and an aspect of the company that I appreciate.
For November BoxyCharm, they’re focusing on everything that sparkles and shines, getting you ready for the holidays. 🙂
As usual, they included 5 full-size products in this box.
The products are…
The box was really diverse when it comes to beauty — another aspect that I really appreciate about the company. There was blush, eye primer, eyeshadow, and glitter liner. I was most excited about the eye primer and eye liner.
While I am not a fan of glitter liners, I am glad I can add this to my collection as my first glitter liner. I plan to use it this holiday season.
Surprisingly, the liner is very pigmented with color. And the sparkle in it is really pretty. I can’t wait to use this for my winged liner. How neat will that look?!
The blush they sent in this month’s box was from OFRA. The color looks a bit bright for my tastes, but I will give it a go.
The nice thing about blushes that are too bright is that you can just use a very light hand and it will work out fine.
The blush has a lot of sparkle in it, but when I swatched it on my hand (above) it actually didn’t show up with that much sparkle. Which is good, for me, as I don’t care for sparkle in my face products.
As I mentioned, this was probably the product I was most excited about getting in the box. I’m always on the lookout for ways to help my eyeshadows to last all day. The consistency of this reminds me of the Maybelline Color Tattoos, but I find that it’s more sticky and wet than those.
I’ve heard some people wonder if this could be a dupe for the MAC’s Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. I’ve never tried this product before, so I can’t tell you that. But it looks like a great product. It’ll help me cover all the veins on my eyelid.
Anyone like to use hair chalk? Than you will like this next product! I, honestly, do not care for hair chalk — my hair is darker, so it wouldn’t show up as well. And I’m just not into hair chalk, really. But I’ll pass it along to a friend who will enjoy it.
The color was rather difficult to swatch — it took me several passes to get it this pigmented. I’ve never tested out hair chalk before, so not sure if this is normal. But it’s neat. If I was a blonde, I would definitely give this a try. 🙂
Last product in the box was from a company called Bella Pierre. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but after testing out the loose eyeshadow, I was pretty impressed.
I am a really, really big fan of green eyeshadows, and this one appears to have a green and brown duo-chrome kind of finish. It’s really beautiful!
The Value of BoxyCharm’s November Box
Let’s do the math!
This is the most valuable box I’ve received so far. And I’m lovin’ it! I didn’t realize the MICA eye primer was so expensive until I looked at the card. Whoa — I’m going to love using it! 🙂
Question to My Readers: Have you ever used hair chalk before? Do you like it?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above from BoxyCharm in the hopes that I would mention them on my blog. Regardless, this does not guarantee a review or feature on my blog. I only share information that I think will be useful for my readers and I only recommend products I have personally used.
BoxyCharm’s September Box Came Out Just in Time for Fashion Week (September Unboxing)
Before I dive into today’s post, just wanted to explain that I had hoped to do this unboxing earlier in the month. But I visited my family back in Florida for the first half of the month, and with a mix up of addresses the box came here to my home in California.
All that to say, next month I should have my unboxing up earlier in the month. And then I would also like to come back with a review at the end of the month and show you a look where I use all the products. Would you like that?

What’s Inside of BoxyCharm’s September Box?
We can’t dive into a BozyCharm without first taking time to enjoy the cute packaging that it arrives in.
It’s sooooo cute!
And I had to snap a picture of the pretty “Fashion Week Fabulous” card that greets you when you first open the box. On the back of this card is where they give you additional information on the products you received, as well as the retail price of each item.
I was really excited to see that there was an eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents in this month’s box — I love eyeshadows and haven’t had an opportunity to try any CS products.
All the products are so exciting this month! I seriously can’t wait to dive in and start trying these products out.
First up was a very pretty perfume. I had a slight problem with this product leaking, but since it was encased in bubble wrap it didn’t ruin anything. And there wasn’t that much leakage, thankfully. The scent is floral and sophisticated — definitely something I would wear. This full-size vial retails for $29.
For those who saw my August Unboxing post, you know that I received a lipstick from this brand and loved the luxurious feel of it. This mascara is no different — it feels so expensive just to hold it!
I’m really hoping that this gives me the lashes I like. 😀 This mascara retails for $19.
Next, the product that I was the most excited about — Costal Scents Go Palette in Cairo, which retails for $12.95
I can’t beleive it, but I totally forgot to take a picture of these colors swatched. If you would like to see that, leave a comment below and I can post it over on my Instagram account. I LOVE the coloring in this palette — definitely something I will use!
I love painting my nails, and BoxyCharm couldn’t have sent me a more fitting color — I love dark colors, especially those in the brown family. This is a beautiful chocolate brown that seems pretty opaque. Can’t wait to do my nails! This NCLA nail varnish retails for $16.
The last item in the box is Tarte Cosmetics’ LipSurgence…
…in exposed. 🙂 This full-size product retails for $19.
As you can see, it has a really unique applicator — one side of it is very flat. I assume this will make it easier to apply, but we shall see.
I was a bit disappointed in the swatch — it seemed more sheer and thin, and I was hoping it would be as creamy and rich as the bottle made it appear. But I’m not giving up on it yet — will put it to the test. 🙂
All in all, it was a great box for Fashion Week. Definitely filled with appropriate makeup. 🙂 As I’ve already mentioned many times, I am looking forward to trying all these products out and can’t wait for next month’s box. 🙂
Let’s do the Math!
Not too shabby — you pay $21 and get 5 full size products that value nearly at a hundred dollars!
