So I was window shopping on the Ulta Beauty website not too long ago and was checking out the NYX brand when I realized…they sold two different sponges. And there’s a price different between the two NYX sponges. Which got me curious — is the pricier one better? Are one of these a good Beauty Blender dupe? What’s the difference between these sponges?? So I purchased them both to test out and share my results with you all!
I originally saw the Okalan Natural MatteMetal palette on Shop Hush and had to get it to test out against the KVD MetalMatte palette that she launched for the holiday season of 2016. I own that palette, really enjoy it, and know many people regret not picking it up (darn, limited edition). So I’ve tested them out — side by side — this past month to see…is the Okalan a good dupe for the limited edition one??

The buzz surrounding the new formulation and addition of matte shades in Wet n Wild’s popular Color Icon line hit an all-time high when we saw their Rosé in the Air palette. Last year the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette basically revolutionized the beauty community for it’s fantastic formula and warm-toned reds and oranges, so of course everyone immediately saw the similarities between these palettes. I’ve heard about Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm for a while, but never got around to trying it. Then when IT Cosmetics sent me their new Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm — and fell absolutely in love — I knew I had to get the Clinique one and compare them. So I did just that…can you guess which one was better?
