Storybook Cosmetics and Musee Beauty both released palettes around the same time that were inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting and I got a lot of requests to compare the two palettes. You guys know my love for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture — it brought unique grungy shadows to the market and I am so here for it! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had a good dupe or dud here, and this one actually dropped in my lap on it’s own. Pixi Beauty recently collaborated with 4 Youtubers and I was generously sent all the products to try out. When I was trying the Glow-y powder in Santorini Sunset I realized it reminded me of my beloved (and holy grail!) LORAC Light Source Illuminating Highlighter in Daylight. So of course I had to share and dupe it out with you guys!
I am SO excited — I’ve been planning this new series for weeks now and have been nearly bursting at the seams in my enthusiasm to share this idea with you all! *happy dance*
Dupe or Dud is where I’ll be comparing two products that are very similar — one high end and one drugstore — and seeing if the cheaper product is a dupe for the more expensive one or if it’s a dud. Because who doesn’t like to save a little money, right?!
