BoxyCharm’s Shining Star is the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette! (December Unboxing)

December 15, 2014 Katie Marie 5 Comments

If you feel like you just saw a BoxyCharm Unboxing post….it’s because you kind of did. 😉 A little over a week ago we unboxed BoxyCharm’s November box together. The highlight of that box would have to have been the MICA eye primer. But let’s dive into this new box for December and see which product stands out the most!

And just to add, the boxes are $21 a month and you get 5 full size products.

 What’s Inside BoxyCharm’s December Box

As usual, I received my products in this cute, white box complete with a gold bow. 🙂
One thing I noticed in this box was that there was a lot less pink confetti in this box and more products. Happy me! 🙂
Here are all the products that were inside the December box. As you can see, the highlight of this box (for me, anways) is the CoastalScents Revealed palette. Which, if you are not aware of, is a great dupe for the Naked and Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay.
I also received my first Be a…Bombshell product in my box. I’ve seen products by this brand a lot on Youtube before.
Okay, first up! In the box is a retractable brush from Mistura. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but retractable brushes are always handy to have around when traveling.
The brush is pretty dense for being a small, travel-friendly brush. A few of the bristles on the outside were a bit damaged, so it appears that opening and closing the brush tends to bend a few bristles. But at least it’s only a few.

The next product I pulled out was Be a…Bombshell in the color ‘Lush’. It’s a really deep, red/mauve color that is perfect for this time of year.
I would’ve included a picture of this color on my lips, but traveling in a plane really does a number on my lips and I am currently trying to get rid of the chapping. 🙂
This is the first time BoxyCharm has included lashes in their boxes. Which is great for those who enjoy using lashes.
As you can see from the picture, the lashes come in a really beautiful box that made me feel so luxurious. 🙂
I personally don’t wear lashes, so I’m planning to save these for the next giveaway I host. 😉 Oh! By the way….did you know I’m currently hosting a makeup giveaway on my Instagram page?? If you aren’t…definitely head over there and enter. The entries are low and your chances of winning are high!
There was also a product from Eva NYC called the Hungry Hair Oil Treatment. The card (which gives you all the details on the products and the value of them as well) says that it’s a travel size. But I checked it out online and, in fact, this oil treatment IS a full size product. Yay for me — I love having hair oils to use on a daily basis. 🙂
Okay, last item! I saved the best for last — I was thrilled when I discovered this palette inside my box. I’d often considered purchasing this palette, as I’ve heard it’s a great dupe for the Naked palettes. Have you tried it?
Oh my word, these colors are SO soft, pigmented. I was shocked at the quality. Just swatching these colors made me think of LORAC eyeshadows — the similarities are huge. And the cost of this palette is SO inexpensive!
As you can see from all the swatches, the colors are really pigmented. And it only took a couple swatches to get it to show up this well. It’s beautiful! This is definitely a palette I am going to love and use often. If you want to see a tutorial, let me know!

The Value of BoxyCharm’s December Box

You know what time it is! Let’s do the math together:

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette – $39.95
Lina Lashes Luxury Mink Lashes – $30.00
Mistura Beauty Solutions Retractable Beauty Brush – $19.99
Be a Bombshell Lip Product – $14.00
Eva NYC Hungry Hair Treatment – $12.00
TOTAL = $115.94

That’s an amazing value for this box. This is the fourth box I’ve received, and it is by far my favorite. Mostly because of the Revealed palette, but I also loved the hair oil and lip product.

Question to My Readers: Do you own the Coastal Scents Revealed palette? Or do you own one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes? Share with me below!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above from BoxyCharm in the hopes that I would mention them on my blog. Regardless, this does not guarantee a review or feature on my blog. I only share information that I think will be useful for my readers and I only recommend products I have personally used.

I don't have either eye palette, but I have been drooling over the Naked ones for while. Now I'll have to go look for this other one. Thanks for sharing about it with us!

I've been wanting to buy this, as I can't justify the UD prices. I would love to see a tutorial please!

SurvivingToddlerHood – Yes, this is a great option — and Coastal Scents is always running sales for this palette, so don't pay full price!!!

Renee – Yes, it is much more affordable. And I've heard that it also dupes for Naked 1 and 2. I don't own either, but now that I have this I think I'm good to go. 🙂
