Giveaways are always so much fun to set up for you all, and today I’m pleased to say that I have another one!

For those who have been following me for a while, I posted a review for Majestical Jewelry’s earrings a few weeks ago. Well I’m here today to bring you a giveaway from them! When they sent me the information for the giveaway, they also were kind enough to give me another pair of earrings to review for you today. So let’s dive right in! 🙂

For today’s review they gave me a pair of gold earrings to review. I tried looking for them on their website, so that I could let you know the price of them, but couldn’t find them. But, depending on the type of earrings you are looking for, the prices at Majestical Jewelry are very reasonable.
My Review…

First Impressions…
These earrings are more of an off-gold kind of gold — not a really bright or shiny gold. Which didn’t bother me, but is a fact that I noticed when I first opened the box. It’s a really neat design. The leaf-like charms dangle beneath little beads that are attached to a circle. They’re all connected at the top, but since the bottom of the ‘leaves’ hang free, it jingles as you move. Which is fun — unless this bothers you. It doesn’t for me, and I actually like it when it makes a little noise. 🙂

How it Wears…
These earrings are heavier than the earrings I reviewed previously, but they’re not too bad. You definitely feel the weight of these earrings when you wear them, but it’s not anything drastic or painful. They make a good bit of noise when they’re in your ears, every time you move. More than I had predicted. So I wouldn’t wear this somewhere that’s going to be really quiet. That might be awkward. 🙂

As I already mentioned, they are already a dull gold color. So I don’t think these would dull or change in appearance too much. Of course, I can’t say this for sure, as I haven’t had these earrings long enough to determine that. But the earrings I got over a month ago from them still look as bright as when I first received them.

Major Likes & Dislikes…
I like the style! It’s fun and different. Almost kind of modern and edgy. I’d say if there was a dislike, it’d be because of the weight of the earrings. These wouldn’t be the earrings to wear all day. But for a dinner date night or event, I don’t think they’d be that bad.

Final Thoughts…
I like the product’s I’ve gotten from Majestical Jewelry. I think their website is a really affordable place to look for fashion-statement necklaces or earrings. They have a large supply of different types, which makes me think that everyone will always be able to find something they like in their store. I highly recommend you go check them out!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above from Majestical Jewelry through Brandbacker for review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

My Giveaway…

As I mentioned above, I have a giveaway for y’all as well! Majestical Jewelry sent along a $20 gift certificate to give to one winner. And I am also going to include another giveaway — the earrings I received for review! Since I already have one gold pair from them, I thought I would give away this one I just received to one of my followers!

So there will be 2 giveaway prizes and 2 winners — one winner will receive the $20 gift certificate and one winner will receive the earrings. 🙂 Enter in the rafflecopter form below!

Hairstyling with NuMe – My Review of Titan3

March 28, 2014 Katie Marie 14 Comments

It’s Friday, and you know what that means, right?

Another new addition to the Hairstyling with NuMe series! 😀 for those who’ve been keeping up, we’ve learned how to do curls, twisted updos, and waterfall braids using the NuMe Titan3 Curling Wands. Check out the links below if you need to catch up…

Hairstyling with NuMe – Curls! (GIVEAWAY!)
Hairstyling with NuMe – Twisted Half-Updo!
Hairstling with NuMe – Waterfall Braid!

For today, I’m actually going to take a quick break from the tutorial’s to bring you my review of NuMe’s Titan3 curling wand set. I’ve been able to use it a lot over the past several weeks, and I feel like I have accurate and honest feedback to give on this set now. (Don’t worry, I will resume next week with another hair tutorial 🙂

So let’s dive in, shall we? 🙂

My Review…

First Impressions…
The NuMe Titan3 curling wands arrived packaged up very securely — definitely didn’t need to worry about anything getting scratched or broken on the way to my house. 🙂 Along with putting the wands inside of a heavy-duty, sturdy round box, they’re also all kept separate with foam dividers that gives each barrel and the base a place to sit without touching each other. I was impressed with the care NuMe took to package up their items, and loved the quality of the round box it came in — I put it in my closet to use to transport my wands when I move next month. 🙂

Packaging/Quality…
Everything about the Nume Titan3 curling wand just screams professionalism and high quality. The feel of the base is really neat — it’s almost soft… It’s really hard to describe! But it’s certainly not the usual finish and feel of a curling wand. It feels very luxurious. 🙂 The barrels are well made and, because they’re made with titanium, they’re really light. And I mean really light! Which is wonderful, as my arms easily and quickly tire out when holding a heavy item above my head for any length of time.

The cord is really thick and feels really strong and sturdy. The barrel of this wand is able to rotate all the way around, which is really nice when I’m using it — I never have to worry about the cord getting all twisted up on itself (which is often the problem I have with my regular curling iron). I’ve used it several times and have noticed the fact that I don’t have to sit and untwist the cord halfway through my curling, like I usually have to do. Definitely a plus, in my book!

Performance…
Once you know which of the three barrel you want to use, all you have to do is line up the holes and snap the barrel into place. It’s pretty easy and very quick to do. Then you turn it on, select your temperature setting, and give it about 10 or so seconds to heat up. That is seriously all it takes to heat up! I love that this can get hot so quickly. I can be pretty impatient at times, and too often I forget to plug in my curling iron ahead of time and then I end up waiting on the barrel to heat up before I can start. But with NuMe’s Titan3 Curling Wand, I can start curling almost the moment after turning it on. It’s wonderful!

It takes a little while to cool down, but when I compared it to my regular curling iron that I own, the Titan3 does cool down more quickly. Pretty sweet! One particular day I curled my hair with both the smallest and medium sized curling wands (to give a variety of curl sizes) and it actually wasn’t too bad, switching between wands. I had to give it a minute or two to cool down, but during this time I was able to section off the next part, so it wasn’t time wasted. And since I had the glove that NuMe includes with all their curling wands, I was actually able to get a pretty good hold on the wands when I went to take it off, even though it was still slightly warm.

Major Dislikes…

When I go to take a barrel off of the base, I often have a few moments of struggle as I try to click the two buttons on either side of the base and pull on the barrel. I’m not sure why I have so much trouble (maybe I need to work out? lol!), but it often takes me several tries to get both buttons pressed down sufficiently at the same time in order to be able to pull the barrel off of the base. I’ve watched several YouTuber’s use this set and haven’t seen them have trouble, so I don’t know if I’m just really weak, or this is a flux in this particular wand. But I just wanted you to be mindful of this fact — it really isn’t too big a deal, since I can just get one of my brothers or my dad to help pull it apart, if I needed to (though I haven’t yet. I’ve been able to pull them apart on my own, after a few tries).

Major Likes…

A lot of things! I love the feel of the wand. It’s so smooth, almost velvety, feeling. It makes me feel really professional and like I am pampering my hair when I use it. 🙂 I’ve also noticed my hair looks shiner once I finish curling (often, after using a normal curling iron, my hair looks dull and dry), so that’s an awesome plus to this wand that I really appreciate!

The fact that it heats up fast is a wonderful bonus! I’ve already explained my reason why I love this aspect of it, so I won’t repeat myself. 🙂 Another thing that I like about this set is that it’s so incredibly light — lighter than any other curling wand or iron I’ve tried before in the past. My arm still can get tired from holding it above my head, but it would get tired even if I was holding nothing, right. But the fact that it doesn’t start hurting right away (like it would before) is really nice. Saves my arms that awful ache!

Final Thoughts…

I really love my NuMe Titan3 curling wand set! Ever since I got this in, I don’t reach for anything else when I go to curl my hair. Even if I just want a bit of wave to my hair, all I have to do is grab the largest barrel and in a few minutes — bam! I have waves! It’s so easy and I love the versatility of this wand being interchangeable. It’s so nice not to have to have 3 different curling irons sitting around my room taking up space and getting their cords all tangled up together. The Titan3 is able to be broken down to shorter sections that are really easy to slip into a drawer and be put out of sight.

I can’t say enough good things about this wand! I’m really looking forward to experiencing the long-term benefits of using NuMe’s products! As some of you know, I purchased the NuMe MegaStar Flat Iron a few weeks ago. While I haven’t gotten a ton of use out of it yet, I have used it several times and love how my hair looks afterwards. I will be doing a detailed review of that tool soon, hopefully, so be on the lookout. 🙂

If you’ve been on the lookout for a good curling wand set or just need a new set to replace your old ones, I would highly recommend you getting the Titan3 set! Or if you want more variety with your curls, the NuMe Lustrum curling set comes with 5 different wands, making the possibilities almost endless! NuMe’s heat tools are an investment, but totally worth the money you put into it! And these tools will last you a long time if you take care of them. And — above all — it helps your hair stay healthier! Which, when you think about it, is a priceless quality to these tools.

I received this curling wand set from NuMe in order to review. It was not required that I give a positive review, but solely to express my own thoughts and opinions of this product, which I have done. I only recommend products and/or services that I have personally used or experienced and like.

* * *    I mentioned purchasing the NuMe Lustrum Curling Set in my review above. I just wanted to let you know that if you are considering purchasing this tool (which I highly recommend! :-), make sure you use the code “FIVECURL” when you check out to get 61% off your order! ‘Cause who doesn’t like to save money, right?!    * * *

Question to My Readers: Are you on the lookout for a new curling iron? Are you the type to invest in good-quality tools?

Hairstyling with NuMe – Waterfall Braid!

March 21, 2014 Katie Marie 5 Comments

I hope everyone is enjoying the “Hairstyling with NuMe” series so far! Today we have another fun hairstyle tutorial — the waterfall braid! 🙂 It’s been a lot of fun to do these hairstyles on myself and my siblings, and the NuMe Titan3 Curling Wand Set has made creating curls so easy and effortless! And they stay so well, too! For those who follow me on Instagram, you saw the picture of my hair for my bridal shower — and those curls looked great all night. 🙂

Don’t Forget! NuMe is having a sale for their MegaStar flat iron (their most popular flat iron and the one I bought recently. I LOVE it!!). If you use the coupon code “MEGASPRING” when you check out, you can get this amazing flat iron for only $79! That’s a saving of $120, which is awesome! I highly recommend this flat iron — it’s really important to invest in a good flat iron and this one is definitely worth the money!

Okay, let’s dive right into today’s hairstyle — which is curls with a waterfall braid!

Step 1: Curl

Curl your hair, however works best for you. I’m using the NuMe Titan3 Curling Wand set with the middle sized barrel. For those who have my type of hair (long, thick, heavy, stubborn hair), check out my first post where I show you, step by step, how to curl your hair. 🙂

I used the middle curling wand on my sister, but if I was to do it again, I would use the smallest curling wand. Tight curls look really cute on little girls, in my opinion. 🙂

Step 2: Add hair to the first strand, closest to the top of the head

Take a chunk of hair near your front hairline and split it into 3 sections. Start doing a normal french braid — incorporating a new chunk of hair from the top of the hair.

Step 3: Drop the third strand (farthest from the top of the head) and pick up a new one

When you go to add a new chunk of hair from the third strand (the strand farthest from the top of the head), drop the strand and pick up a new strand from right next to it. This is what will give your braid that ‘waterfall’ effect.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3

Continue to add hair to the first strand, and pick up a new strand every time you go to braid the third strand over.

By the way, I am assuming that everyone knows how to braid and french braid. If you don’t know how, either let me know (so I can consider doing a tutorial on both of those for you) or do a searching on YouTube. A lot of great beauty guru’s do a step-by-step video explaining how to do both a regular braid and a french braid. 🙂

Step 5: When you reach the back of your head, finish with a regular braid

After you’ve braided almost all the way down your strand of hair, use a little black elastic band and tie your braid. This is only a temporary fix, so don’t worry if the tie doesn’t look nice or you didn’t tie it particularly nice — it won’t be on there for long. 🙂

Step 6: Loosen the braids (if desired) and spray it with hairspray

The first part of this step is optional. I like it when a hairstyle has a really loose, effortless look to it, so I just pulled on her braid a tad to make the braid look larger and also give it a soft, natural look. Then a sprayed the braid and the curls with hairspray to help hold the hairstyle (I am using an older version of the Kenra Platinum Finishing Spray 26).

Step 7: Repeat the steps on the other side

Repeat steps 2 to 6 on the other side of your hair. Once your done the two braids should meet in the middle at the back of your head. But go ahead and braid it regularly for a while before tying it off.

Step 8: Gather the two braids together at the back

Pull the two braids together at the back and secure it with some type of clip. I used a Flexi Clip, as it really decorates the hairstyle and is super easy to use, too! (which is a huge plus and something I appreciate!)

For those who are interested, my sister is a consultant for Lilla Rose and you can shop through her website!

Step 9: Remove the hair ties

Remove both ties from the braids and undo the braids up to your clip, so your hair hands free.

And now that the two braids are joined, you can loosen or tighten the braid as much as you like. Because you have some strands of the hair hanging out (the ‘waterfall’ part of the braid), it makes it really easy to either tighten or loosen the braids. So however you like to wear your hair, go for it. 🙂

Step 10: If needed, recurl strands

If you notice that any of your curls have kind of fallen because of running your fingers through it (when you were braiding), just take your curling wand and recurl those areas. It doesn’t take long — just hold it for a few seconds and your curls will be good to go. Don’t touch your curls when you finish until they’ve cooled. Use hairspray once you are done!

AND YOU’RE DONE!!!!

Once all the curls look the way you want them to…you’re finished!

After I finished my sister’s hair, she went and put on her dress-up gown and play high-heels and pretended she was a princess. 🙂 I thought she looked sooooo grown up and pretty with her curly hair!

REMEMBER: NuMe is sponsoring a giveaway on From My Vanity! If you didn’t see my original post where I did a tutorial on curling your hair, make sure you take a look and see how you could win a NuMe Curl Jam set to try out on yourself! (worth over $200!)

Question to my Readers: Do you enjoy braiding your hair? Do you like a regular braid, french braid, inverted braid, fishtail braid? Tell me what braid you enjoy doing the most! 🙂

Glade’s Wax Melt’s are sure to improve the smell of any room! (Review)

March 19, 2014 Katie Marie 5 Comments

Greetings to all the new followers on my blog! In the past month there have been a lot of new subscribers on my blog, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. 🙂 It’s because of readers like you that I continue to write on my blog and bring you reviews…like this one today! 🙂

About Glade Wax Melts…

Glade® Wax Melts blend high-quality essential oils to fill even the largest rooms with scents that linger on — adding ambiance to any occasion, from quiet weeknights with the family to huge holiday gatherings:

Available in 10 great fragrances, with new limited edition fragrances sold each season

Made from pressed (not poured) wax, which is dry to the touch and prevents greasy hands — plus, the cubes are individually packaged, making it easier and less messy to begin your fragrance experience

Each wax melt provides 12 hours of consistent fragrance that lingers even after the warming dish has been turned off, delivering 96 hours of scented bliss per pack

Use only with a warmer labeled for wax melts, like the stylish Glade® Wax Melts Warmer that retails for $10.99

Glade® Wax Melts Refill Packs include 8 cubes and retail for a suggested price of $3.49

My Review…

First Impression…
I’m not unfamiliar with wax melts — my family has one candle warmer, and really enjoyed it. So when I saw that Glade was coming out with their own wax melts, I was really thrilled — I’m a big fan of Glade candles! So I picked one of my favorite scents, Hawaiian Breeze, to put to the test. You already heard be rave about how much I like the Hawaiian Breeze and Vanilla Passion mix in my previous review, so I won’t repeat myself (but go see that review if you haven’t. 🙂

Packaging/Quality…
The packaging for the Glade Wax Melts
is pretty standard for wax melts — at least, all the ones I’ve seen. Each one comes with 8 cubes that are divided into their own separate sections. I always like the way Glade packages their products, and these are no exception. The scent is Hawaiian Breeze so everything about the packaging and label has to do with pineapples and the orange-color of the wax cubes.

Performance…
These melts are very potent! I put one cube in a warmer and lit it in my room…and before long I had to open my door because the scent got so strong! Definitely better if you are in a large, open area for these melts! I don’t see this as a negative, though, as I really like when scents are strong — I just take care to light them in an open area — I can’t stand when I light a candle and can barely detect a scent from it after several minutes. You won’t find that problem with Glade Wax Melts in Hawaiian Breeze!

Major Likes…

The scent! I love the smell of Hawaiian Breeze! But I know this ‘like’ will be different for each person. So, I’d have to say that my biggest like about Glade’s new wax melts are the size of the cubes. They’re really decent sizes and promise you hours and hours of usage before it’s used up!

Major Dislikes…
Hmm…I guess the strong smell might bother some people. For me, personally, it doesn’t, but we each are different. So be aware that these scents are very strong. 🙂

Final Thoughts…
I loved these Glade Wax Melts! And the price is really reasonable — usually selling for around $3 or $4 dollars. I’m not aware of the price of other wax melts, but this seems like an average price that is well worth the amount you get with each one. If you’ve never tried using wax warmers and wax melts in your home, I highly encourage you to start with these!

I received this product from BzzAgent for free in order to review. It was not required that I give a positive review, but solely to express my own thoughts and opinions of this product, which I have done. I only recommend products and/or services that I have personally used or experienced and like.

Question for my Readers: Have you tried any products by Glade? Which is your favorite?

Fashionable rings that will give your style a fresh edge! (Giveaway)

March 17, 2014 Katie Marie 16 Comments

I hope your weekend has went well. I had my bridal shower this past weekend, and have felt so blessed and loved by my church family and friends. 🙂

Before I dive into today’s giveaway, I just wanted to take a minute to make sure you know that I’m now on Luvocracy! If you don’t know what it is, I encourage you to go give it a look. It’s kind of like Pinterest, except that you can order through Luvocracy and their pledge is that they will find you the lowest price on the internet for you. AND you get $10 off your first order when you sign up. Pretty sweet!

Okay, so for today’s giveaway I’m featuring another store on Etsy called A Wild Violet and is run by Branden and Jennifer.

Branden and Jennifer opened their Etsy shop back in 2010 and make rings, knuckle rings, earrings, and even bangles and cuffs. Their work is beautiful and they have had over 5,000 positive sales on their Etsy shop to prove their wonderful work and customer service!

I’ve been really intrigued with the recent fad of wearing smaller rings that don’t go past the second knuckle on your finger. It’s a really neat way to dress up your hands another notch. 🙂 A Wild Violet sells knuckle rings that are simple and elegant, and then others that are artistic and will appeal to a wide variety of people.

As you can see from the pictures on their Etsy store, the quality and detail in their jewelry is beautiful! From the simple to the complex, they’re all lovely and unique.

The Giveaway…

Jennifer has very kindly offered to give one of my followers the chance to win something from A Wild Violet! The winner get’s to choose any one of her knuckle rings in her shop (up to $10 value). Don’t forget to check out all of Jennifer’s social media spots, too!

Hairstyling with NuMe – Twisted Half Up-Do

March 14, 2014 Katie Marie 4 Comments

Good Friday morning, everyone! It’s here — the second installment to my new series, Hairstyling with NuMe! Today I’m going to take curls to the next level with this fun half-up-do type of style. It would be perfect for a night out or even for a prom date!

By the way, my little sisters got so excited when they heard I was doing this series on my blog, and they all eagerly volunteered to be my ‘models’ for this series. So today I’m featuring one of my younger sister’s as my model for this easy — but fancy-looking — hairstyle. 🙂

Step 1: Curl

Since I already did a detailed blog post on how to curl your hair, I’m just going to refer you there to refresh your memory on how I curl my hair. For my sister, I only had to do two sections, since she has finer, thinner hair than I do. 🙂

And, just like last time, I will be using the NuMe Titan3 curling wands to curl her hair — and I’ll be using the medium-sized curling wand. 🙂 Make sure, if you’re interested in purchasing this set, that you use the code “NUMESPRING50” to get 50% off your order and free shipping on the NuMe website! Because who doesn’t like to save some money?! 🙂

Okay, so curls are all done. NuMe’s curling wands curl so well and make your hair super glossy and shiny! You could totally go out of the house like this and look fabulous! But for today, I wanted to show you a really quick and easy way to take it up another notch. 🙂

Step 2: Twist a section back & pin

Take about a 1 or 2 inch section at the front hairline, drape it around the forehead so it looks nice, and twist it lightly against the head before pinning into place. (If you would like tips on how to pin properly so that they’ll stay in for hours, let me know and I’ll be happy to go into detail!)

Step 3: Repeat once more on same side

Just like in the previous step, take the next section (the rest of the hair right around the ear) and twist it back. Take one or two pins and secure it in place. Very easy and quick — if you’re doing it on someone else or if you’re doing it on yourself!

Step 4: Spritz with hairspray

Secure those twists with a good spritz of hairspray both to smooth down any fly aways and to help the style hold up and last longer. (here I am using an older version of Kenra’s Platinum Finishing Spray 26 🙂

Step 5: Switch to the other side. Take a section near the hairline and twist

Now that you’re on the other side, you’re going to do the same steps on this side. Starting with that first section right at the front, take a one or two inch chunk and twist it against the head and pin into place.

Step 6: Repeat steps until you reach the other side

Keep twisting and pinning your hair, taking one section at a time, until you have almost reached where you twisted that side. (I left about a 2 inch gape there). Pin it in place as you go. Once you’re done pinning, check your work and see if you need to reinforce the hairstyle with more pins (it’s okay to use a bunch of pins! 🙂

Step 7: Decorate (if desired)

Now, if you’re me, you’ve gotta add a little something to finish the look off. So I dressed up my sister’s hairstyle with this pretty black flower piece that just clipped right in.

Step 8: Revive any curls if needed

Sometimes as you work in sectioning the hair and twisting pieces back, you can get some curls that go kind of wonky. Simply take your Titan3 wand and re-curl them very quickly.

Step 9: Finish with hairspray!

Take your favorite, strong-hold hairspray and give the whole hairstyle — pinned pieces and curls — a really good spray. That’s all! Presto — your hairstyle is done!

There you go! After you curl your hair, it just takes 5 or 10 extra minutes to get an elegant and easy hairstyle that will really glam up your look! And it will look like you had to spend  a lot longer on it then you really did, which is a big plus. 😉

REMEMBER: NuMe is sponsoring a giveaway on From My Vanity! If you didn’t see last week’s post where I did a tutorial on curling, make sure you go take a look…and check out the end of the post to see how YOU could win a curling set from NuMe! (Worth over $200!!! :-D)

In a kingdom controlled by cruel and manipulative women, one princess will discover the power of truth and love.

Trained as a priestess in the temple of Baal, Princess Jehosheba strives to please the demanding Queen Athaliah, daughter of Jezebel. But when a mysterious letter from the dead prophet Elijah predicts doom for the royal household, Jehosheba realizes that the dark arts she practices reach far beyond the realm of earthly governments.

Forced to marry Yahweh’s high priest in order to further Athaliah and Jezebel’s power plays, Jehosheba enters the unfamiliar world of Yahweh’s Temple. Can her new husband show her the truth and love she craves? And can Jehosheba overcome her fear and save the family–and the nation–she loves?

With deft skill, Mesu Andrews brings the Old Testament to life, revealing a fascinating story of the power of unconditional love.

My Review…

I’ve read all but one of the books Mesu Andrew’s has published so far and with each one I’ve closed the book feeling so impressed with her work. She has such a beautiful way of presenting a character’s story and I love how they always point towards and end with showing the power and mercy of Yahweh. And In the Shadow of Jezebel
is no different!

It didn’t take me long to get wrapped up in the dangers and intrigue of Jehosheba’s world — or better known as ‘Sheba’. I can’t imagine growing up the way she did — the only ‘motherly influence’ she ever knew was someone who used her cruelty and power as a tool to control her. Mesu did a wonderful job of showing how deeply Athaliah had affected and controlled Sheba — and the long, painful journey Yahweh and Jehoiada walked through with her to undo the evil vines and thorns that were growing on her spirit and threatening to choke out her life.

Sheba was a very complex, deep character. Because of her past, she had so many facets to her, you discovered them along with Jehoiada after the two are wed. I thought it was neat that Jehoiada wasn’t the ‘perfect suitor’ — he was much older than Sheba, was a long-time bachelor with many old habits, and had a couple of shortcomings he had to deal with. It made these two characters very life-like and three dimensional. They didn’t have a perfect marriage — in fact, it was pretty rocky for a while. But as the reader, you got to watch them grow, learn how to live with an imperfect person, and mature in their marriage. I thought it was beautiful.

One thing I really appreciate about Mesu and her writing is that her books to not focus so much on the physical intimacy side of a relationship, as many Christian writers do today. There were several times in the book where the story could have progressed and given you a glimpse “into the bedroom”, so to speak, but Mesu kept it very appropriate and didn’t delve into any of that. Not that there wasn’t any tenderness between Jehoiada and Sheba in the story — oh no, there was lots of that! But it was shown and reflected in words and acts of love towards each other, not in marital intimacy. And I really appreciated that, making this a book I would recommend for girls of all ages!

If you haven’t read any of Mesu Andrew’s books, I highly encourage you to give them a try. Especially if you like Biblical fiction. I highly recommend In the Shadow of Jezebel
! It won’t take you many pages until you are caught up in the palace intrigue and the stress and terror that soon becomes a part of Sheba’s life….until she marries a humble priest named Jehoiada and learns of the great Yahweh. 🙂

I reviewed this book for Revell. It was not required that I give a positive review, but solely to express my own thoughts and opinions of this book, which I have done.
