MY REVIEW

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Sample Vials | FromMyVanity.comFirst Impression & Packaging:

The Fragrance Sampler for Her came in a really attractive packaging. They’re all securely held in this shiny, pink box that has a decorative sleeve with pretty cut-out designs on it. The box could definitely be reused for something — I don’t know what, but it’s way too nice to just throw out! If you weren’t gifting this set, you could definitely use the pink box to hold another present. Just an idea.

Practicality and Usability:

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Box of Sample Vials | FromMyVanity.comThe sample vials that all of the fragrances come in are the same size as those you would typically get for free in your Sephora order. I kind of wish that they were a little more ‘deluxe’ size. All but two of the sample vials have little sprays — the ones that do not have a stopper you just pop off. I appreciate that the majority of them have sprays, as this makes it easier to use. From experience, the sample has about two uses from it. Which isn’t bad, I suppose, but I do wish it had a little more.

The pouch that comes with this set is really nice. It doesn’t feel cheap or plastic — the material of this pouch is really soft to the touch. It zips close and has a good bit of room inside. Would make a perfect touch-up bag to throw in your purse.

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Bonus Pouch | FromMyVanity.comMajor Likes & Dislikes:

First we’ll talk about the bad. I’ve seen several reviews that complain about the price for some fragrances being cheaper than this kit. And that is true — 4 fragrances out of the 10 retail at roughly $5 cheaper than this kit. Why Sephora did this, I do not know. My thoughts on that would be…know which fragrance you are looking into before deciding on a kit. I knew I was really interested in the Viva La Juicy Noir bottle, which is $72, so there’s no question for me if this collection is worth it or not. If you’re more interested in Marc Jacobs Honey then, yes, I would agree with the other reviewers in saying this sampler isn’t worth it for you. Unless, of course, you really want that pouch. 😉

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Closeup Sample Vial | FromMyVanity.comNow that that’s out of the way, we’ll talk about the good. For me, the value of this set really makes it totally worth the purchase. If you saw my Sephora VIB Sale haul, than you know I got this set for only $44. Which, since I want to get the fragrance that cost $72…the savings was huge. I don’t know where else you could get almost a $30 discount on high-end fragrances.

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Bonus Pouch, Open | FromMyVanity.comAnother thing I appreciated about this set was that they packaged it up so well and included a very nice pouch. It’s not like they just threw some samples in a bag and sent it off with a free voucher — they took the time to design this beautiful box and also include a pretty makeup pouch that any woman can use.

Final Thoughts:

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Certificate for Full Size Fragrance Bottle | FromMyVanity.comI would say that you should have in mind which fragrance you might want to buy. Sephora has several different Fragrance Sampler sets  — all with different fragrances and pricetags. If the fragrance you are interested in is cheaper than the set, I would say just take a trip into Sephora and test the fragrance there.

Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her - is it Worth Getting | Box | FromMyVanityBut if the fragrance you want is more expensive, then I would definitely recommend you purchasing this set. Not only will you get a fancy pouch, but you can also try out other fragrances. I know sample fragrances can sometimes seem not worth it — but they really are. And they come in REALLY handy when you have to go on a trip. No worries about breaking that full-size bottle!

So, in short, it really depends on what you are looking for. 🙂 For me, this sampler set saved me almost $30, which was huge! And not only do I get my perfume at a reduced price, but I get to enjoy trying out 9 other fragrances and I can’t wait to use the makeup bag!

I've seen these Sephora Favorites Fragrance Sampler sets at Sephora before, but have been curious if they're worth getting. | FromMyVanity.comQuestion for My Readers: What’s the most expensive perfume you’ve ever purchased? What’s your favorite fragrance?

I purchased the products mentioned above with my own personal money. I was not compensated for posting this review. I only recommend products that I have used personally and believe will be beneficial for my readers.

And just to add, it’s $21 a month and you get 5 full size products.

What’s Inside BoxyCharm’s November Box

BoxyCharm always does a beautiful job with their packaging. They really make it special to the receiver and an aspect of the company that I appreciate.

For November BoxyCharm, they’re focusing on everything that sparkles and shines, getting you ready for the holidays. 🙂

As usual, they included 5 full-size products in this box.

The products are…

Kevin.Murphy Color.Bug hair Chalk
MICA Beauty eye primer
BellaPierre Eyeshadow
Tarina Tarantino Glitter Eyeliner
OFRA Blush

The box was really diverse when it comes to beauty — another aspect that I really appreciate about the company. There was blush, eye primer, eyeshadow, and glitter liner. I was most excited about the eye primer and eye liner.

While I am not a fan of glitter liners, I am glad I can add this to my collection as my first glitter liner. I plan to use it this holiday season.

Surprisingly, the liner is very pigmented with color. And the sparkle in it is really pretty. I can’t wait to use this for my winged liner. How neat will that look?!

The blush they sent in this month’s box was from OFRA. The color looks a bit bright for my tastes, but I will give it a go.

The nice thing about blushes that are too bright is that you can just use a very light hand and it will work out fine.

The blush has a lot of sparkle in it, but when I swatched it on my hand (above) it actually didn’t show up with that much sparkle. Which is good, for me, as I don’t care for sparkle in my face products.

As I mentioned, this was probably the product I was most excited about getting in the box. I’m always on the lookout for ways to help my eyeshadows to last all day. The consistency of this reminds me of the Maybelline Color Tattoos, but I find that it’s more sticky and wet than those.

I’ve heard some people wonder if this could be a dupe for the MAC’s Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. I’ve never tried this product before, so I can’t tell you that. But it looks like a great product. It’ll help me cover all the veins on my eyelid.

Anyone like to use hair chalk? Than you will like this next product! I, honestly, do not care for hair chalk — my hair is darker, so it wouldn’t show up as well. And I’m just not into hair chalk, really. But I’ll pass it along to a friend who will enjoy it.

The color was rather difficult to swatch — it took me several passes to get it this pigmented. I’ve never tested out hair chalk before, so not sure if this is normal. But it’s neat. If I was a blonde, I would definitely give this a try. 🙂

Last product in the box was from a company called Bella Pierre. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but after testing out the loose eyeshadow, I was pretty impressed.

I am a really, really big fan of green eyeshadows, and this one appears to have a green and brown duo-chrome kind of finish. It’s really beautiful!

The Value of BoxyCharm’s November Box

Let’s do the math!

MICA Beauty Eye Primer – $44.95
OFRA Cosmetics Pressed Blush – $24.95
Tarina Tarantino Eyelicity Glitter Liner – $16.00
Keven.Murphy Color.Bug – $20.00
Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder – $14.99
TOTAL = $120.89

This is the most valuable box I’ve received so far. And I’m lovin’ it! I didn’t realize the MICA eye primer was so expensive until I looked at the card. Whoa — I’m going to love using it! 🙂

Question to My Readers: Have you ever used hair chalk before? Do you like it?

It Cosmetics’ New Dual-Ended Brush Gives a Beautiful Airbrushed Finish (Beauty Review)

December 3, 2014 Katie Marie 6 Comments

It Cosmetics’ Dual Airbrush #7

Retail Price: $48

Ultra luxe, ultra plush tool for perfect airbrush application.
Provides the capability to build coverage with foundation or powder and
buff away imperfections.
This brush was designed with leading plastic
surgeons to apply BOTH foundation and concealer to a flawless,
airbrushed finish!
The ultra plush, ultra luxe large end allows you to quickly apply
your foundation to larger areas for a beautiful airbrushed finish, while
the micro-end allows for the most accurate precision in even the
smallest spaces.
This high-quality brush is extremely soft and great for
even the most sensitive skin!

Features 100% synthetic bristles. Vegan

My Review

First Impression & Packaging:
Let me first say that the brush I own is a limited edition brush from the It’s All About You collection they featured on QVC back in June. It has a silver handle as opposed to the black handle that you can purchase now. But besides that, they look identical.

It Cosmetics is well known for the quality and luxuriousness of their brushes. With the Dual Airbrush, the bristles were extremely soft and very dense. The middle of the brush, the handle, doesn’t feel as luxurious as It Cosmetics black handle brushes, but it’s still nice.

Product & Application:
I love using this brush to apply my foundation — it lives up to it’s name of giving you an “airbrush” look. It feels amazing brushing it on your skin and doesn’t take long before my foundation is blended into my skin and looking fabulous. 🙂

I personally only use this brush when applying my lighter, more liquidy foundations. I felt like with my full coverage foundations this brush would give me a cakey, fake look. But that’s just my personal preference.

Major Likes & Dislikes:
The bigger end of the brush — the foundation side — is my favorite to use. The concealer side works well, but I just personal love to use the larger end. It feels so amazing and I like that I don’t have to work very hard to blend the foundation into my skin. It just takes a few seconds and — bam — my skin looks flawless!

As for dislikes, I would have to say that I don’t personally like dual-ended brushes. They’re hard to store, since you can’t put it in a jar (which is how where I keep my brushes) without potentially damaging one side of the brush. So it just lays out on my counter. Not a bad thing….just annoying to me.

Final Thoughts:
This brush is a great addition to any makeup collection. If you are on a tight budget and want to get some good face brushes (which make all the difference when doing your makeup), this dual-ended brush would be worth the purchase. It IS expensive, but you get two brushes for the price of one. And they’re telling the truth when they call it an airbrush foundation and concealer brush — you do get a beautiful, natural airbrush look to your face. Love it!

Question for My Readers: What’s your favorite brush brand? I love It Cosmetics for high end, and Real Techniques for drugstore. 🙂

I received one or more of the products mentioned above from It Cosmetics in the hopes that I would mention them on my blog. Regardless, this does not guarantee a review or feature on my blog. I only share information that I think will be useful for my readers and I only recommend products I have personally used. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Ten Cyber Monday Deals that are Happening NOW! (NuMe, Sephora, Ulta, Avon)

December 1, 2014 Katie Marie 3 Comments

Can you believe that today we’re starting the last month of 2014?! I can’t believe it! We’re going to be celebrating New Years eve before we know it. 🙂

Before I start blabbing too much, let’s dive right into today’s sweet Cyber Monday deals.

10 Cyber Monday Deals Happening NOW!

1. NuMe
They’re always offering great sales throughout the year on their styling tools and products, so I wasn’t sure how they would top all that for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But if you were able to snag one of their Classic 19mm Wand for only $9.99, than you know they did an outstanding job for Black Friday. 🙂 And that sale is STILL available — just use the code MAGICMON when you check out 🙂

Don’t worry, if you weren’t around for that — NuMe still has some great deals for today! Use the code INSTA70 to get 70% off any hair tool or product (though, sadly, it excludes the Lustrum set and holiday catalog). But if you go on NuMe’s website, click the Holiday Catologe, you’ll see great deals like these two below…

Didn’t think you could get a high-quality curling wand for less than $20, huh? Just use the code CYBERCLASSIC and you can! Or if you’re in the market for a new flat iron, don’t settled for the cheap ones that will fry your hair — go for the Silhouette Flat Iron that’s only $22 today (with the code CYBER22!

2. Sephora
icon

As I’m sure you are aware, Sephora likes to surprise their shoppers with great deals first thing in the morning. And I’ve just discovered that, to celebrate Cyber Monday, they are releasing their Limited Edition Naked on the Run palette for only $54. Along with 5 eyeshadows that are almost the same size as the ones in the Naked palettes, this also includes blush, bronzer, Perversion mascara, 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil, and a full size Naked lipgloss, As I said, it’s limited edition, so if you want it make sure you grab it now!

They are also celebrating 26 Days of Delight this holiday. Visit Sephora.com every morning and discover a new FREE Mini. See today’s reward by using the code: DELIGHT.

 3. The Body Shop
icon

Heads up! I know Ulta has all of The Body Shop products 40% off right now….but they’re offering an even better deal!

For Cyber Monday, all products are 50% off! And if that wasn’t awesome enough, they are also giving their customers frees shipping on all orders, no matter the sizes. But, to help you decide how much to spend, they’re also throwing in a free gift if your order is over $50. Pretty Sweet!! I’m not sure what the gift is, but if you are a fan of The Body Shop products (like I AM!!), than this news got you really excited. Happy shopping! 🙂

4. the Balm
I own a few products from this company (LOVE their Bahama Mama bronzer!), and really like them. I am really tempted to go shopping today, as their super-sweet Cyber Monday deal is that ALL their products are 50% off starting at 7AM Pacific today and will be live for only 24 hours. No code is required to get this sale — just go jump on the site and start shopping!

5. Laura Geller
Today they’re celebrating Cyber Monday by offering a travel size Blush-n-Brighten in Boysenberry, a mini Champagne Spackle, and a mini Blush Brush with any orders over $40. All you have to do is use the code CYBERGWP when you’re checking out!

6. Avon
It’s been a while since I’ve ordered from Avon, but they sell many products I’ve enjoyed in the past (check out their Extralasting Plump & Stay Lip Color), when I used to sell Avon.

For today they’re offering 30% off any purchase over $30, plus free shipping. And if that deal wasn’t sweet enough, theyre also giving away a FREE limited edition beauty bundle featuring six of Avon’s most-loved
products in an exclusive tote with any $30 purchase. Totally worth placing an order today, right?!

7. Too Faced
icon

Okay, so Too Faced has several things going on. First up, all their sale items are 50% off (sweet). And they’re offering a discount depending on how much your total order is. So if you spend $60, you get $10. Spend $75, you get $15. And if you spend $100, then you get a total of $20 (that’s even sweeter).

But the creme-la-creme at Too Faced is that they’re offering a $35 ‘Mystery Grab Bag’. I have no idea what is going to be in this bag, but I’m sure it will be awesome and worth well over the $35 it will cost you. Get it before it’s gone!

8. Urban Decay
Have you been eyeing that bold, beautiful Electric palette that Urban Decay came out with recently? (I know I have! It’s so bright…it’s kind of hypnotizing!) Well, today is the day to get it. Regularly $49, Urban Decay has it on sale for ONLY $35!

Plus, they’re offering their customers free shipping along with a sample of their famous 24/7 Velvet Glide-On eye pencil.

UPDATE: Use the code UD20 at checkout and get an additional 20% off your order! Sweetness!

9. Ulta
Oh my goodness! I almost don’t know where to start! Ulta has so many great sales going on right now. To see the ad, just click here. They keep this ad updated whenever things go out of stock so you know.

But a few of the sales that I am most excited about the fact that Real Technique brushes are 30% off today. I’ve been wanting to get a few! Mario Badescu, DermaBlend, and Strivectin are all 20% off, and don’t forget about the LORAC Champagne Dreams eyeshadow palette (value $133) is going to be only $15. Be ready — this is all going to go FAST!

And if your total order is over $60, make sure you try to snag one of their free 19 piece beauty bags. They’re valued at $115 and there’s also 3 bonus coupons that you can use on products later. Totally worth getting, if it’s still available!

UPDATE: Holy cow, make sure you DON’T miss out on the $10 off coupon that Ulta is offering TODAY ONLY! 😀 You have to spend $50 in order to get the $10 off, but if you’re going for the beauty bag below, than that won’t be a problem for you. 🙂

10. Ebates
And I’ve saved the BEST for LAST! If you don’t know about Ebates, click here to read my previous post to read all about it. But if you don’t have an account with them yet, you really need to! I’ve saved so much since I signed up!

Anywho, the reason I consider Ebates the best part of Cyber Monday deals is that not only are you going to be able to save LOTS of money on different brands today, but you can save even more by going through Ebates before you place that order.

For example, I’ve listed below all of the websites I mentioned above….along with how much cash back you could earn in addition to all of the other savings I’ve already mentioned. 🙂

So the deal is, if you spend $30 on other products, you can get this filled tote bag for an additional $30. Get a Faux “Side Shave” Look with this Braided Tutorial (Hairstyle Tutorial)

November 17, 2014 Katie Marie 17 Comments

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a hairstyling tutorial with you all. Have you missed them? Well, today’s your day, because I’ve teamed up with Toni&Guy (through Birchbox) and Kiss (through Brandbackers) to bring you another easy hairstyle that incorporates both curls and braids (You know those are the hairstyles I LOVE!).

addwigs uk

At the end I will also give you a short review on the products from both these companies. So let’s jump right in and have some fun!

Be forewarned, this post is very picture heavy. 🙂

Quick Side Braid & Curls Tutorial

Step 1: Brush Hair & Protect

It can be a nightmare if you try to curling your hair when you have knots. Always be sure to thoroughly brush through your hair before you begin. Also, since you’ll be using heat on your hair, make sure you use some type of hair protector so you don’t burn the ends of your hair. (That’s never fun!)

Step 2: Part Your Hair to the Side

Part your hair to the side. If you normally do a side part, I would recommend parting it a little deeper than usual. This will  giving you a more edgy, faux side shave look once we’re done. 🙂

Step 3: Apply Some Hair Wax

This is mainly to keep all those fine, baby hairs that are around your hairline from sticking up and giving your braid a ‘fuzzy’ look. (They drive me crazy!) The Toni & Guy’s Stick It Up Gum works perfectly for this.

Not only did it keep my fine hairs smoothed over, but it also gave my hair wigs a glossy finish. 🙂

Step 4: Dutch Braid till Past your Ear

short bob style wigs

If you don’t know what dutch braiding is, it’s exactly like french braid — except that instead of braiding the strands over each other, you braid them under each other. If you still are not sure what dutch braiding is, head over to Youtube and check out Kayley Melissa’s tutorial on how to do a dutch braid.

Once you know, all you’re going to do is dutch braid until just past your ear. Once you reach it, do a regular braid once or twice and now you’re ready for the next step. 🙂

Step 5: Secure with Bobby Pins

Use however many bobby pins you need to secure the braid at the back of your head. Make sure that you are pinning the braid underneath your hair, so that it will cover the bobby pins and make your braid look like it just disappears into your hair.

Step 6: Spray Braid with Hairspray

At this point I sprayed my braid with Toni&Guy Medium Hold Hairspray to keep it secure.

I didn’t want to go in with too strong a spray, just in case I needed to change things up. Always save the strong hairspray until you’re completely done and satisfied with your look.

Step 7: Curl Remaining Hair

Now comes the fun part! I got out my new InstaWave from Kiss. I’ve seen a few reviews on YouTube for it, and they were all very favorable, so my hopes were high. I set my wand on the ‘high’ setting, as my hair is usually very difficult to curl. Of course, if you don’t own this curling iron, then use whichever one you have available. 🙂

It took a few tries to figure it out, (You should have seen my puzzled look!) but once I did, I had a beautiful curl! And I like the fact that the wand wraps the hair around for you, so there’s less for your hands to do. 🙂 It also gives you a very natural, relaxed wave that I really liked.

Step 8: After Curling a Section, use a Texturizing Spray

This is a step that I like to include, because my hair can be very stubborn. After I’ve curled a section of hair, I give it a light misting of Toni&Guy’s Sea Salt Texturizing Spray and scrunch it up just a bit.

I’ve been doing this step for the past year or so, and have noticed a BIG difference in how much longer my curls last because of it. If you have easy-to-curl hair, than feel free to omit this step. 🙂

Step 9: Finish your Hairstyle with Hairspray

Once I finished curling all the sections of hair, I grabbed the Toni&Guy’s Strong Hold Hairspray and gave the curls — and my braid — a good misting to set the hairstyle.

And that’s all there is to your hairstyle! You’re all set — and looking fabulous! 😉

My Thoughts on the Toni&Guy Hair Products

Toni&Guy sent me several products from four of their lines: Classic, Casual, Creative, and Glamour. I was really thrilled that I found a hairstyle that would incorporate a product from each of the lines. That way I would get a really good feel for the brand as a whole. I loved how they color-coordinated the products with their different lines. 🙂

I love how all of the products smell! If you’re like me, how my hair products smell is an important factor when I’m shopping for hair supplies. All the products have a slightly sweet fragrance. Not too strong, though, which is also nice. (I don’t want to knock people out when I walk by!)

Toni&Guy is a high-end brand in the hair product world, so I was pleased to find that all the products feel luxurious and work better than the drugstore brands that I’ve tried in the past. This is a really important fact for me — I’m not just going to pay more money for the name, I want the product to be worth the price. And these are!

I think out of all the products, I loved the hairsprays the most. I hate buying drugstore firm hold hairsprays, because I just feel like it’s spitting glue into my hair. My hair feels gross and looks like it would snap off if I tried to bend the strands. But with Toni&Guy’s hairspray, it gave me a firm hold on my hairstyle, without the “cement” feel.

The texturizing spray, also, was exceptional. The nozzle just gives you a light misting and it isn’t as sticky as some of the sprays I’ve used in the pass. It does give your curls that slightly crunchy feel, but not overly crunch. Just enough to really grab onto the curls and help them hold throughout the day. This product would work well if you wanted to spruce up your curls partway through the day.

All in all, while you are going to pay a few more dollars than the regular drugstore hair products, they’re definitely worth it! The products won’t leave your hair feeling gross the next day (big plus!). Toni&Guy feels and smells luxurious and the results I get with their products outshine the other hairstyling products I currently have underneath my bathroom sink. Definitely worth the splurge!

My Thoughts on the Kiss InstaWave

After curling my whole head with this wand, I’ve been able to form a pretty definite opinion on this curling wand. Before I forget, it retails for $59.99 — which isn’t a bad or outrageous price for a hair tool, in my opinion.

I will admit it took my several tries before I finally figured out how to work it without getting my hair all tangled on the prongs. (Now, this might just be because I can be a bit clumsy at times!) After reading the directions carefully and doing several trial runs with the wand turned off, I finally figured it out. Once I got the hang of it, curling my hair went really quickly.

The Kiss InstaWave does make curling your hair easier, in my opinion. Not having to use both my hands to hold it in place really makes a difference. And while this tool isn’t super-light, I didn’t notice my arms getting tired at all. I also like to think that, since the hair is sitting lightly wrapped around the wand, it isn’t as damaging. 🙂

Because this curling iron has the prongs that help to keep the hair around the wand, it does also cause the hair around it to get caught up if you’re not careful. If you’re going to use this wand, you will definitely need to make sure you section off your hair and keep the hair separate from your curls. And even then, if I tried to rest the wand too close to my hair while twirling it, the curls I’d already done would start to get caught up around the wand! So, depending on the individual, this might be a con. For me, personally, I don’t mind it. I just have to keep it in mind when clicking the button to twirl it.

One thing that I considered a negative aspect of this wand is that it is very hard to get a close curl when doing the sections at the back of my head. Because you can’t see it (or maybe because I’m not very flexible) I found it impossible to get the wand close to my head and curl the strand without the prongs getting all caught up in my hair. So for me, I just brought the hair around my shoulder and curled it as far up the strand as I could go.

All in all, while this curling wand does have a few cons, I found that I really loved the curls that I was able to get with the Kiss InstaWave. They held up beautifully all day and still had a lot of curl left the next day. As I mentioned, I loved that the curl it gave was very loose and effortless. I don’t like ringlets when I curl my hair, but neither do I like fallen waves. This curling iron gave me the perfect curls. I think it will really come down to your own personal preference as to whether or not you will like this curling iron. If you love trying new and different hair tools, then you’re going to love this!

The Results of my Sephora VIB Shopping Spree!

November 14, 2014 Katie Marie 4 Comments

Who wants to see what I got during the 20% off Sephora VIB/VIB Rouge sale??? This is the first year I’ve participated and received the coupon, so I had fun daydreaming about all the products I would love to get (which you can see here). But these products are the ones that I actually ended up purchasing.

My Sephora VIB Sale Purchases

Sephora Favorites Sephora

My Price: $44

I didn’t mention this set in my Sephora, but I really wish I had. It’s such an incredible value and a big reason why I had to shrink my wishlist so I could accommodate this purchase.

This set gives you 10 fragrance samples to try out…but the best part is that this set also includes a voucher to redeem a full-size bottle of your choice from the set for FREE. So….if you do the math like I did, I paid $44 to (potentially) get a fragrance bottle that retails at $72.

Talk about some savings! And you also get a bunch of sample fragrances from high-end, really luxurious brands. I love getting sample perfumes as they’re perfect to throw in your purchase or take while traveling. And I like to mix up my fragrances. 🙂

TooFaced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

My Price: $24

I’ve been wanting to expand my (very) small collection of bronzers. I’ve eyed the TooFaced Chocolate Soleil bronzer before, loving the idea that it smells nice and (from what I hear) looks very natural on our skin. So what better time to try it out than when I can get it at a discounted price! 🙂

I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out yet, but I can’t wait!

Bite Beauty Best Bite Remix

Bite-Beauty-Best-Bite-Set
My Price: $20

This is actually the only item that I ended up getting from my Sephora Wish List post last week. How funny how that all turned out!

These lip pencils look so beautiful! I love the pigmentation that Bite Beauty always gives, so I know I won’t be disappointed in that area. The value for this set is really awesome. The price for a full size is $24, and the fact that you get 4 decent sized lip pencils…just made this a no brainer for me! 🙂

Keep an eye on my Instagram for more picture love and swatches.

Stila Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick

My Price: $17.60

This was an impulse buy, but I was really intrigued by the claims of this lip product. I’ve been on the hunt for a product that will dry on my lips and not budge the entire day. Like the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. This color really seemed right up my alley.

I’ve worn it once since purchasing it, and loved how it dried onto my lips so quickly and with a lot of pigmentation. Now I just have to try it out and see how many hours it lasts!

Sephora Collections Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color

Screen Shot 2016-04-04 at 12.13.42 PM
My Price: $12.80

I just realized how many lip product’s I purchased in this haul! Wow! Well, I can no longer say that I don’t have a large lip collection. 😛

I haven’t tried this one out yet, but it’s claims are similar to the Stila lipstick that I mentioned above. I’ve tested it out in the stores before, and it seemed to dry and stay in place. So I have high hopes for this one!

I purchased it in a lighter color than the Stila lipstick because I wanted a longwearing lip color that I could wear for an every day look. Because if you’re like me….I enjoy wearing lipstick every day, but it isn’t very practically when the hubby comes home and doesn’t want to get any lipstick on his own lips. 😛
