If you’ve been reading the blog for any length of time, you know I am a big LORAC Cosmetics fan. Needless to say, I was surprised when I realized I’ve never done a top 10 or top 5 from LORAC. Like…how did that even happen?? Well, today we’re going to fix that! I like so many products that they put out, but these 5 are the cream of the crop for me!
I could’ve done a top 10, but I really wanted to hone in on my absolutely favorite, so we’re just going to talk about the top 5 from LORAC Cosmetics that you NEED to try before the year is out! 😉

My Top 5 from LORAC Cosmetics
1 – PRO Palette | Retail: $44
This one is going to sound obvious, but if you don’t own a LORAC PRO palette…you need to! Forget splurging on an Urban Decay Naked palette — save the extra money and just go with one of these. You get more eyeshadows, you have more mattes to play with, and I feel like the quality is better all around. It’s hard to pick a favorite….but I think I would have to say MY personal favorite between all the PRO palettes is the third one…closely followed by the original. But I fully realize that a lot of people don’t like this (still don’t quiet understand why, lol…) So I would say go into Ulta, have a swatch party, and then pick the palette that you are most drawn to 😉

2 – Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer | Retail: $21
Want to know a secret? I’ve never purchased the full size bottle of this stuff…and I use it almost daily! When you purchase a LORAC PRO palette, they always include a deluxe-size sample of their eyeshadow primer. And ever since I received my first PRO palette (probably 4 years ago) I have been so loyal to this primer. I have very oily eyelids and LORAC’s primer was the first one I tried that could actually keep my eye looks from creasing — and I’m talking 14-16 hours strong with ZERO creasing! You only need a little bit, so the deluxe sample would last me well over a year, probably closer to two… And since I’ve purchased three PRO palettes….I don’t see myself having to buy a full size of this stuff for a very long time!

3 – Front of the Lines PRO Liquid Liner | Retail: $23
If you’ve ever been curious how I am able to get my wings so long and so straight…it is mostly because to this beauty — this was the product I used when I first started to master the wing. It makes drawing that wing very effortless so that by the time I started playing with gel pots, getting that really precise, sharp wing came easier to me. This doesn’t dry down matte, which is the only down size. But seriously, if you are a beginner — or even if you’ve been in makeup for a while but want to master the sharp wing — I highly recommend this liner.

4 – Color Source Buildable Blushes | Retail: $22
I was sent two of the blushes for review consideration…and ended up buying a third on my own. I love these blushes that much! LORAC knows how to kick it out of the park when it comes to pigmentation! These are so intense, you really only need the lightest dab of your brush to be good to go. My favorite shade is actually Tinge — that nude-ish shade. It gives the most natural, everyday color to the cheeks that I love.

5 – Alter Ego Lipsticks | Retail: $17
Do we see that creaminess? That’s just two swipes! I really don’t understand how this is the only shade I own — I NEED MORE! I wore this shade (called “CEO”) almost non-stop last fall. The tube looks new because I ended up leaving it at my mom’s house, so had to repurchase a new tube for myself. 😉 But really, this lipstick is pigmented, creamy, so comfortable to wear, and lasts for hours. It does transfer and smudge, just like any other lipstick, but if you’re careful when you eat or drink I actually find I don’t really need to touch up afterwards. And for the price, it’s a really affordable option for a highend brand — I purchased this one during a sale when they were only $9 each!

Those are my Top 5 from LORAC! It was so hard to pair it down to only 5, but I really wanted to share my absolute favorites that I feel like you can’t go wrong with from this brand. Some honorable mentions are the PRO Matte Lip Color, Light Source Illuminating Highlighter, and the Alter Ego Lip Liner. 🙂
