I can’t believe November is here already — it’s a big month for me, as my little girl is due at the end of the month! Believe me when I say things are getting real now! Baby furniture is going up and this new mama is trying to get everything in order before the big day.
But, anyways, I’m getting off topic! This post is all about my favorites from October (not be freaking out about being a mother! 😛 )! I had a lot of beauty favorites for this month, which wasn’t too surprising. When I sat down and started thinking of what I’ve been reaching for repeatedly, all these products instantly stood out in my mind as obvious beauty favorites from this past month. So let’s jump right into the post, shall we?
October Beauty Favorites
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint Foundation in Nude // $40, Nordstrom // I bought this foundation earlier this year and have been using it on and off, but this past month I’ve been using it almost constantly. It’s the one foundation I instantly reach for whenever I know I’m going to have a long day with my makeup on. It keeps my face really matte (I rarely have to blot my face mid-day) and has awesome coverage. I’ve never tried anything else from Jouer, but now that I’ve experienced the amazing-ness that is this foundation….I’m intrigued!
Sigma E06 Winged Liner Brush // $14, Sigma // This is a brush I purchased on my own after seeing LauraLee on Youtube use it in her videos. I’m always on the hunt for that perfect brush that will give me sharp, thin wings — wings so sharp and thin that they can cut! And this brush is the best I own! I purchased two of them because I had such high hopes for it….and now I want to purchase 2 more! Can’t have too many eyeliner brushes ready to go (who else is totally lazy when it comes to cleaning their eyeliner brushes right after using them?? *raises hand high*).
LORAC Mega Pro 2 Palette // $59, Ulta // This beauty just launched this past month, but in that short time I’ve been using it almost constantly! It’s such a beautiful palette and the quality is just as good as their other Pro eyeshadows (so, you know….totally amazing!). The colors included in this palette are also really great and I find that I can create a lot of different types of looks and colors with just this palette. I know I’ve been slack about getting a review up for this palette, but it hasn’t been because I didn’t like it. Oh no! It’s the bomb and I can’t wait to share everything I love about this palette in an in-depth review! Soon! 🙂
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Light Beige // $39, Ulta // I’ve already done an in-depth review on this foundation, so feel free to click over to that post if you want more details, but suffice to say if I wasn’t wearing the Jouer foundation this month….I had this foundation on my face. It doesn’t last as long on my face with my oily skin, but if I only have a short day for makeup or am just hanging around the house, this is the foundation that I will use. It gives me such flawless-looking skin and I rarely have to use concealer on any breakouts or discolorations on my skin, because this foundation is enough to cover it.
Sigma Powder Blush in Heavenly // $12, Sigma // This product was sent to me for signing up to be a Sigma Affiliate and while it looked like a pretty blush, I wasn’t really expecting to be wowed by this product. Boy, was I wrong! This blush is a beautiful, matte soft-peachy color that is incredibly pigmented. I only need to give my brush a light tap into this product to get a beautiful color to show up on my cheeks. Very pretty and I have been wearing it almost non-stop all month!
LORAC Alter-Ego Lipstick in CEO // $16, Ulta // I bought this lipstick on a whim when they were half-price on Ulta a few weeks back and the description for this lipstick (a matte, dusty-rose color) seemed right up my alley. And my hunch was right — it’s the perfect color for me. It’s like me in a tube! And with the fall weather upon us, I’ve worn it so much this past month! And I will continue to use it throughout this winter. It’s beautiful on the lips and if you like dusty-rose colors, you will like this lipstick! It doesn’t bleed outside my lip line and while it’s not transfer-proof, it does a good job staying on the lips for hours.
And there you have it, my October beauty favorites! Did we have any product loves that were the same from this past month? Please share with me in the comments below! If we didn’t have any similar ones, share with me what your top favorite beauty product was from this past month so I can try it out, too!
