Ten Cyber Monday Deals that are Happening NOW! (NuMe, Sephora, Ulta, Avon)

December 1, 2014 Katie Marie 3 Comments

Can you believe that today we’re starting the last month of 2014?! I can’t believe it! We’re going to be celebrating New Years eve before we know it. πŸ™‚

Before I start blabbing too much, let’s dive right into today’s sweet Cyber Monday deals.

10 Cyber Monday Deals Happening NOW!

1. NuMe
They’re always offering great sales throughout the year on their styling tools and products, so I wasn’t sure how they would top all that for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But if you were able to snag one of their Classic 19mm Wand for only $9.99, than you know they did an outstanding job for Black Friday. πŸ™‚ And that sale is STILL available — just use the code MAGICMON when you check out πŸ™‚

Don’t worry, if you weren’t around for that — NuMe still has some great deals for today! Use the code INSTA70 to get 70% off any hair tool or product (though, sadly, it excludes the Lustrum set and holiday catalog). But if you go on NuMe’s website, click the Holiday Catologe, you’ll see great deals like these two below…

Didn’t think you could get a high-quality curling wand for less than $20, huh? Just use the code CYBERCLASSIC and you can! Or if you’re in the market for a new flat iron, don’t settled for the cheap ones that will fry your hair — go for the Silhouette Flat Iron that’s only $22 today (with the code CYBER22!

2. Sephora

As I’m sure you are aware, Sephora likes to surprise their shoppers with great deals first thing in the morning. And I’ve just discovered that, to celebrate Cyber Monday, they are releasing their Limited Edition Naked on the Run palette for only $54. Along with 5 eyeshadows that are almost the same size as the ones in the Naked palettes, this also includes blush, bronzer, Perversion mascara, 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil, and a full size Naked lipgloss, As I said, it’s limited edition, so if you want it make sure you grab it now!

They are also celebrating 26 Days of Delight this holiday. Visit Sephora.com every morning and discover a new FREE Mini. See today’s reward by using the code: DELIGHT.

 3. The Body Shop
icon

Heads up! I know Ulta has all of The Body Shop products 40% off right now….but they’re offering an even better deal!

For Cyber Monday, all products are 50% off! And if that wasn’t awesome enough, they are also giving their customers frees shipping on all orders, no matter the sizes. But, to help you decide how much to spend, they’re also throwing in a free gift if your order is over $50. Pretty Sweet!! I’m not sure what the gift is, but if you are a fan of The Body Shop products (like I AM!!), than this news got you really excited. Happy shopping! πŸ™‚

4. the Balm
I own a few products from this company (LOVE their Bahama Mama bronzer!), and really like them. I am really tempted to go shopping today, as their super-sweet Cyber Monday deal is that ALL their products are 50% off starting at 7AM Pacific today and will be live for only 24 hours. No code is required to get this sale — just go jump on the site and start shopping!

5. Laura Geller
Today they’re celebrating Cyber Monday by offering a travel size Blush-n-Brighten in Boysenberry, a mini Champagne Spackle, and a mini Blush Brush with any orders over $40. All you have to do is use the code CYBERGWP when you’re checking out!

6. Avon
It’s been a while since I’ve ordered from Avon, but they sell many products I’ve enjoyed in the past (check out their Extralasting Plump & Stay Lip Color), when I used to sell Avon.

For today they’re offering 30% off any purchase over $30, plus free shipping. And if that deal wasn’t sweet enough, theyre also giving away a FREE limited edition beauty bundle featuring six of Avon’s most-loved
products in an exclusive tote with any $30 purchase. Totally worth placing an order today, right?!

7. Too Faced
icon

Okay, so Too Faced has several things going on. First up, all their sale items are 50% off (sweet). And they’re offering a discount depending on how much your total order is. So if you spend $60, you get $10. Spend $75, you get $15. And if you spend $100, then you get a total of $20 (that’s even sweeter).

But the creme-la-creme at Too Faced is that they’re offering a $35 ‘Mystery Grab Bag’. I have no idea what is going to be in this bag, but I’m sure it will be awesome and worth well over the $35 it will cost you. Get it before it’s gone!

8. Urban Decay
Have you been eyeing that bold, beautiful Electric palette that Urban Decay came out with recently? (I know I have! It’s so bright…it’s kind of hypnotizing!) Well, today is the day to get it. Regularly $49, Urban Decay has it on sale for ONLY $35!

Plus, they’re offering their customers free shipping along with a sample of their famous 24/7 Velvet Glide-On eye pencil.

UPDATE: Use the code UD20 at checkout and get an additional 20% off your order! Sweetness!

9. Ulta
Oh my goodness! I almost don’t know where to start! Ulta has so many great sales going on right now. To see the ad, just click here. They keep this ad updated whenever things go out of stock so you know.

But a few of the sales that I am most excited about the fact that Real Technique brushes are 30% off today. I’ve been wanting to get a few! Mario Badescu, DermaBlend, and Strivectin are all 20% off, and don’t forget about the LORAC Champagne Dreams eyeshadow palette (value $133) is going to be only $15. Be ready — this is all going to go FAST!

And if your total order is over $60, make sure you try to snag one of their free 19 piece beauty bags. They’re valued at $115 and there’s also 3 bonus coupons that you can use on products later. Totally worth getting, if it’s still available!

UPDATE: Holy cow, make sure you DON’T miss out on the $10 off coupon that Ulta is offering TODAY ONLY! πŸ˜€ You have to spend $50 in order to get the $10 off, but if you’re going for the beauty bag below, than that won’t be a problem for you. πŸ™‚

10. Ebates
And I’ve saved the BEST for LAST! If you don’t know about Ebates, click here to read my previous post to read all about it. But if you don’t have an account with them yet, you really need to! I’ve saved so much since I signed up!

Anywho, the reason I consider Ebates the best part of Cyber Monday deals is that not only are you going to be able to save LOTS of money on different brands today, but you can save even more by going through Ebates before you place that order.

For example, I’ve listed below all of the websites I mentioned above….along with how much cash back you could earn in addition to all of the other savings I’ve already mentioned. πŸ™‚

NuMe — 5% cash back!
Sephora — 8% cash back!
The Body Shop — 8% cash back!
the Balm — not available, sorry!
Laura Geller —not available, sorry!
Avon — 3% cash back!

Get a Faux “Side Shave” Look with this Braided Tutorial (Hairstyle Tutorial)

November 17, 2014 Katie Marie 17 Comments

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a hairstyling tutorial with you all. Have you missed them? Well, today’s your day, because I’ve teamed up with Toni&Guy (through Birchbox) and Kiss (through Brandbackers) to bring you another easy hairstyle that incorporates both curls and braids (You know those are the hairstyles I LOVE!).

addwigs uk

At the end I will also give you a short review on the products from both these companies. So let’s jump right in and have some fun!

Be forewarned, this post is very picture heavy. πŸ™‚

Quick Side Braid & Curls Tutorial

Step 1: Brush Hair & Protect

It can be a nightmare if you try to curling your hair when you have knots. Always be sure to thoroughly brush through your hair before you begin. Also, since you’ll be using heat on your hair, make sure you use some type of hair protector so you don’t burn the ends of your hair. (That’s never fun!)

Step 2: Part Your Hair to the Side

Part your hair to the side. If you normally do a side part, I would recommend parting it a little deeper than usual. This willΒ  giving you a more edgy, faux side shave look once we’re done. πŸ™‚

Step 3: Apply Some Hair Wax

This is mainly to keep all those fine, baby hairs that are around your hairline from sticking up and giving your braid a ‘fuzzy’ look. (They drive me crazy!) The Toni & Guy’s Stick It Up Gum works perfectly for this.

Not only did it keep my fine hairs smoothed over, but it also gave my hair wigs a glossy finish. πŸ™‚

Step 4: Dutch Braid till Past your Ear

short bob style wigs

If you don’t know what dutch braiding is, it’s exactly like french braid — except that instead of braiding the strands over each other, you braid them under each other. If you still are not sure what dutch braiding is, head over to Youtube and check out Kayley Melissa’s tutorial on how to do a dutch braid.

Once you know, all you’re going to do is dutch braid until just past your ear. Once you reach it, do a regular braid once or twice and now you’re ready for the next step. πŸ™‚

Step 5: Secure with Bobby Pins

Use however many bobby pins you need to secure the braid at the back of your head. Make sure that you are pinning the braid underneath your hair, so that it will cover the bobby pins and make your braid look like it just disappears into your hair.

Step 6: Spray Braid with Hairspray

At this point I sprayed my braid with Toni&Guy Medium Hold Hairspray to keep it secure.

I didn’t want to go in with too strong a spray, just in case I needed to change things up. Always save the strong hairspray until you’re completely done and satisfied with your look.

Step 7: Curl Remaining Hair

Now comes the fun part! I got out my new InstaWave from Kiss. I’ve seen a few reviews on YouTube for it, and they were all very favorable, so my hopes were high. I set my wand on the ‘high’ setting, as my hair is usually very difficult to curl. Of course, if you don’t own this curling iron, then use whichever one you have available. πŸ™‚

It took a few tries to figure it out, (You should have seen my puzzled look!) but once I did, I had a beautiful curl! And I like the fact that the wand wraps the hair around for you, so there’s less for your hands to do. πŸ™‚ It also gives you a very natural, relaxed wave that I really liked.

Step 8: After Curling a Section, use a Texturizing Spray

This is a step that I like to include, because my hair can be very stubborn. After I’ve curled a section of hair, I give it a light misting of Toni&Guy’s Sea Salt Texturizing Spray and scrunch it up just a bit.

I’ve been doing this step for the past year or so, and have noticed a BIG difference in how much longer my curls last because of it. If you have easy-to-curl hair, than feel free to omit this step. πŸ™‚

Step 9: Finish your Hairstyle with Hairspray

Once I finished curling all the sections of hair, I grabbed the Toni&Guy’s Strong Hold Hairspray and gave the curls — and my braid — a good misting to set the hairstyle.

And that’s all there is to your hairstyle! You’re all set — and looking fabulous! πŸ˜‰

~Β  FINAL RESULTSΒ  ~

My Thoughts on the Toni&Guy Hair Products

Toni&Guy sent me several products from four of their lines: Classic, Casual, Creative, and Glamour. I was really thrilled that I found a hairstyle that would incorporate a product from each of the lines. That way I would get a really good feel for the brand as a whole. I loved how they color-coordinated the products with their different lines. πŸ™‚

I love how all of the products smell! If you’re like me, how my hair products smell is an important factor when I’m shopping for hair supplies. All the products have a slightly sweet fragrance. Not too strong, though, which is also nice. (I don’t want to knock people out when I walk by!)

Toni&Guy is a high-end brand in the hair product world, so I was pleased to find that all the products feel luxurious and work better than the drugstore brands that I’ve tried in the past. This is a really important fact for me — I’m not just going to pay more money for the name, I want the product to be worth the price. And these are!

I think out of all the products, I loved the hairsprays the most. I hate buying drugstore firm hold hairsprays, because I just feel like it’s spitting glue into my hair. My hair feels gross and looks like it would snap off if I tried to bend the strands. But with Toni&Guy’s hairspray, it gave me a firm hold on my hairstyle, without the “cement” feel.

The texturizing spray, also, was exceptional. The nozzle just gives you a light misting and it isn’t as sticky as some of the sprays I’ve used in the pass. It does give your curls that slightly crunchy feel, but not overly crunch. Just enough to really grab onto the curls and help them hold throughout the day. This product would work well if you wanted to spruce up your curls partway through the day.

All in all, while you are going to pay a few more dollars than the regular drugstore hair products, they’re definitely worth it! The products won’t leave your hair feeling gross the next day (big plus!). Toni&Guy feels and smells luxurious and the results I get with their products outshine the other hairstyling products I currently have underneath my bathroom sink. Definitely worth the splurge!

My Thoughts on the Kiss InstaWave

After curling my whole head with this wand, I’ve been able to form a pretty definite opinion on this curling wand. Before I forget, it retails for $59.99 — which isn’t a bad or outrageous price for a hair tool, in my opinion.

I will admit it took my several tries before I finally figured out how to work it without getting my hair all tangled on the prongs. (Now, this might just be because I can be a bit clumsy at times!) After reading the directions carefully and doing several trial runs with the wand turned off, I finally figured it out. Once I got the hang of it, curling my hair went really quickly.

The Kiss InstaWave does make curling your hair easier, in my opinion. Not having to use both my hands to hold it in place really makes a difference. And while this tool isn’t super-light, I didn’t notice my arms getting tired at all. I also like to think that, since the hair is sitting lightly wrapped around the wand, it isn’t as damaging. πŸ™‚

Because this curling iron has the prongs that help to keep the hair around the wand, it does also cause the hair around it to get caught up if you’re not careful. If you’re going to use this wand, you will definitely need to make sure you section off your hair and keep the hair separate from your curls. And even then, if I tried to rest the wand too close to my hair while twirling it, the curls I’d already done would start to get caught up around the wand! So, depending on the individual, this might be a con. For me, personally, I don’t mind it. I just have to keep it in mind when clicking the button to twirl it.

One thing that I considered a negative aspect of this wand is that it is very hard to get a close curl when doing the sections at the back of my head. Because you can’t see it (or maybe because I’m not very flexible) I found it impossible to get the wand close to my head and curl the strand without the prongs getting all caught up in my hair. So for me, I just brought the hair around my shoulder and curled it as far up the strand as I could go.

All in all, while this curling wand does have a few cons, I found that I really loved the curls that I was able to get with the Kiss InstaWave. They held up beautifully all day and still had a lot of curl left the next day. As I mentioned, I loved that the curl it gave was very loose and effortless. I don’t like ringlets when I curl my hair, but neither do I like fallen waves. This curling iron gave me the perfect curls. I think it will really come down to your own personal preference as to whether or not you will like this curling iron. If you love trying new and different hair tools, then you’re going to love this!

Click to Watch a Tutorial on How to Use the InstaWave!

Y’all made it to the end! Bravo! I hope this post wasn’t too long winded. There was so much information to share with you all. πŸ™‚

Question for My Readers: What do you think of the InstaWave? Do you like trying new curling wands? Or do you just like your tried-and-true curling iron? πŸ™‚

I received one or more of the products mentioned above from either Brandbacker or Birchbox. I only share information that I
think will be useful for my readers and I only recommend products I have personally used. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

My Review:

First Impression & Packaging:
I love to burn candles around the house, so was thrilled to receive this set of three candles from Old Factory — a company that’s exclusively available on Amazon. I was sent them as a gift, which is the first time I’ve ever had any experience with Amazon sending a product wrapped. This is how it looked when I opened the package.

I appreciated that they included the invoice, but put it in an envelop so that you have the option to be totally surprised when you open the gift. The invoice also did not include the price of the item.

This 3-Candle Gift set comes in a variety of different sets and, since we’ve just stepped into November, I thought it was appropriate to get the Fall Harvest gift set. Each of the candles are 2 oz. and come with a black screw-on lid. They were slightly smaller than I had expected, but I didn’t see this as a negative aspect.

Product & Application:
I really appreciate and loved the care that Old Factory takes with the packaging and design–from the candles themselves, to the inserts you get, to even the box it comes in. How sweet that they even included little messages underneath the candles (see picture above). They’re a very thoughtful company.

The aroma from the candles can be smelled even before you light them — so yummy! As you can see, the three different scents were in Cranberry, Autumn Leaves, and Pumpkin Spice. The Cranberry definitely puts me in mind of Christmas, so I will be saving that till next month. Autumn Leaves smells outdoorsy….like crushed leaves. Not specifically fall….but more like what the outdoors smell like during the spring, so I would say this would work no matter the season.

Pumpkin Spice, of course, smells like pumpkin…and maybe a touch of gingerbread. Personally, it’s the most accurate “fall” scent in this set. But! When you light them all at the same time, then all the scents do combine to give you a very accurate “fall” smell. It’s my favorite season, so I love it! πŸ™‚

Major Likes & Dislikes:
I think this set would make a wonderful gift for someone who loves candles this Christmas (like me!). Or you could even purchase this set, and then divide them up between three friends as stocking stuffers. I like that the candles are natural and handmade in the USA. And, of course, the scents are really pleasant when you burn them. Not too strong (I don’t like those kinds).

The price seems kind of pricey for 3 2oz candles. But right now I appreciate that they’re on sale, so more affordable. And when you divide $25 three ways, it’s not that bad. And $25 makes for easy gifts.

Final Thoughts:
Almost forgot to mention, but Old Factory has a 100% satisfaction guarantee return policy — if you don’t like the product, they will pay for the shipping to have it returned. I really appreciate this. Too often you see the return guarantee…but you have to pay for shipping it back. That’s not the case with Old Factory candles!

Each candle burns for about 20 hours, so if you do the math….right now you can spend $25 and have wonderful scents filling your house for at least 60 hours! The perfect amount of time for this season — you don’t have to worry about still having half the candle to burn through when Christmas is over and spring is rapidly approaching (like with large B&BW candles!).

If you like burning candles in your home, then you have to try these Old Factory candles at some point! You won’t be disappointed and I think you are going to love the ability to switch scents in a timely manner.

My Holiday Makeup ‘Wish List’ from Sephora (VIB/VIB Rouge Sale!)

November 3, 2014 Katie Marie 8 Comments

If you haven’t heard the news yet…Sephora‘s big VIB/VIB Rouge 20% off coupon will soon be available. I believe the exact dates are 11/6-11/10. I am unsure if they will be having a coupon code for Beauty Insiders…I forget how that went last year. This is the first year that I’m a VIB, so I’m really excited!

Sephora very rarely offers coupon codes, so this is the ideal time to either stock up on your staple makeup products or try out one of the holiday sets that are all over the place this time of year. πŸ™‚

In the spirit of preparing for this sale, I’ve compiled a list of the holiday sets that I would love to try, and you should do. They’re in no particular order — I just thought it would be fun to share the top items on my wishlist with you.

lipsticks I’ve ever tried. I keep it in my purse and I reach for it all the time.

$59 ($432 value)
“A chic, portable travel bag filled with a collection of limited-edition,
oversized must-have beauty essentials for the eyes, lips, cheeks, and
complexion.”

I have yet to try out Tarte’s eyeshadows. And since I am always drawn to eyeshadow colors that are in the “brown” family….this palette definitely is tugging at my attention! I’ve tested out these shadows in store, and they are soft and pigmented—two things I always like to find in my eyeshadows. And the value of this set makes it totally worth the price! What a huge savings!

Too Faced Too Faced Melted Kisses
icon

$24 ($40 value)
“A set of four deluxe, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks in lasting, stunning shades. With a precise tip
applicator, and the lasting power of a stain and the saturated color of a
liquid lipstick in one long-wear formula, each shade goes on creamy and
makes the perfect holiday party companion.”

I received one of these Melted Lipsticks to review, but unfortunately it is in a barbie-doll pink that I can never pull off. But I do like the pigmentation and lasting power of the product…which makes me very tempted to grab this set. I know I would wear the nude and dark red, and could probably pull off the other two. (Hmm…decisions, decisions….)

Urban Decay All Nighter Long Last Makeup Setting Spray Duo
icon

$39 ($60 value)
“A limited-edition set with two full-size bottles of Urban Decay’s
legendary All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray that keeps makeup looking
fresh.”

I purchased this setting spray to use for my wedding, and have really enjoyed the product since then. I tend to use it on the days when I know I’m going to be having my makeup on from early in the morning until late at night. It really does help my makeup not start ‘melting off’ halfway through my day. And if you already love this product, now is the perfect time to stock up and save!

Josie Maran Winter Dreams Argan Skincare
icon

$39 ($68 value)
“A six-piece collection of Josie’s argan skincare beautifiers to hydrate
and nourish skin with powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids. This complete set includes Argan Cleasing Oil to gently melt
away makeup and skin impurities, Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating
Treatment to plump and preserve skin’s youthful cushion, multitasking
100% Pure Argan Oil to nourish skin, hair, and nails, Argan Infinity
Intensive Creamy Oil to hydrate skin, calm inflammation, tame fly-aways,
condition lips, and illuminate complexion, Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF
47 to smooth, hydrate, and protect, and Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand
Cream to heal and soothe rough, dry hands.”

This set intrigues me because I haven’t tried any products from Josie Maran…but I’m really curious to see if makeup with Argan Oil is as good as it seems to be. And since this set gives you a wide range of her products to try…it might really be worth trying out.

Too Faced I’ll Stop the World & Melt with You
icon

$59 ($110)
“A limited-edition, full face set that’s ideal for creating natural-looking, soft and sexy looks.

Get a natural-looking, full face with
this set’s neutral eye shadows and flushes of color. This set features
the Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow Quad, a deluxe Shadow Insurance
Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer, a full-size Better Than Sex Mascara, a
Sweethearts Perfect Flush Powder Blush in Peach Beach, and a deluxe
Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Peony.”

At half the price, you could try out 5 different products from Too Faced. That fact really pulls at me. As I said, I liked the Melted lipsticks. And I’ve heard fantastic things about the mascara, eye primer, and blush. And the eyeshadows look really pretty. (There’s just SO MANY good sets out this season!)

Sephora Favorites Superstars
icon

$75 ($225 value)
“A 12-piece beauty set with full-sizes of our most-coveted essentialsβ€”from makeup to fragrance to skincare.”

There are many reasons this value set is worth the price. For starters, you get so many full-size products of well-know and well-loved products (Nars, Urband Decay, Smashbox). I like the variety of this set, as well. From hair, to perfume, to skincare, to makeup…there’s a little bit of everything in here. And, hey, this would be a good idea to purchase and then break up between your girlfriends—and it’d save you a ton of money, too, then purchasing them all individually.

There you have it! Those are the gift sets I am eyeing as November 6th gets closer. I have no idea which ones I will actually cave and get….if you’re following me on Instagram, you’ll see a haul when I get my order in. But in the meantime…

Question for My Readers: Share with me which gift sets you’re wanting to snag during the VIB/VIB Rouge sale! I’d love to hear what you’re stocking up on and what you’re going to try out for the first time!

My Top Ten Makeup Products!

October 22, 2014 Katie Marie 4 Comments

I’ve never shared with you my top 10 most-loved makeup products. I love reading/watching other beauty lover’s favorites, so thought it’d join in the fun. πŸ™‚

These are in no particular order. They’re just the top ten products that I’ve been absolutely loving recently!

1. Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer

I’ve raved about this for a while, and if you follow me on Instagram than you see this primer in every face of the day post. I tried several drugstore eyeprimers before I received this with my Lorac Unzipped palette. All the other primers worked, to some degree, but none of them ever held up for a whole day. This primer, on the other hand, holds up all day — and then some! Whenever I use this, my shadows always look just as good by the end of the night. No fading, no creasing, and the color just as vibrant as when I first applied it. Love it! πŸ™‚

2. Physicians Formula Matte Collection Eyeshadow Quad

I just recently posted my review for this Classic Canyon quad, so I won’t go into too much detail. Just know that this is the best drugstore matte palette I’ve ever seen or tried and I love it. It blends like a dream and stays pigmented all day. Read my review for more details.

3. Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

I’ve been using this for about 6 months now, and I really love the results I get from it. It’s very creamy and a pigmented, matte black. It lasts all day on my lids. It will rub off if you try, but since I use it on my lids (which I never rub) I don’t have to worry about that. It lasts a long time! I don’t think I’ve even hit the halfway mark with it yet!

4. Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer

As you can see, I only have a deluxe size of this product, but I love it. It’s a lifesaver when my face gets really dry. Applying this before my foundation helps to hydrate my skin and keep it from looking flaky throughout the day. It’s a liquidy primer — not like water, but almost as thin and cool. I haven’t taken the plunge to buy the full size…yet. πŸ™‚

5. Rimmel London ScandalEyes

When I reach for a black eyeliner to line my eyes, I like them to be really pigmented and dark. Rimmel’s ScandalEyes works perfectly for that. It’s pigmented, creamy and stays very well in my waterline. I prefer this liner over Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Zero — I personally think it’s way more pigmented.

6. Lorac Pro Palette

This one shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Lorac always has such buttery-soft shadows. A few months ago I was given this palette has a gift and I’ve been loving it ever since. All the colors in this palette are incredibly pigmented, soft, and just absolutely beautiful! πŸ™‚

7. Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer

I’ve tried several concealers — both high-end and drugstore — and none of them have worked for me very well. But this concealer really is amazing. It looks great under my eye, and also amazing concealing any acne marks. The consistency is very creamy and thick, but blends out beautifully. I haven’t had this for long, but it’s quickly replaced all other concealers I own.

8. Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

I just posted my review for this foundation earlier this week, so please check that out if you are interested. In short, if you want a foundation that is buildable and can give you either a light or heavy coverage, this is definitely the foundation to look into. I’ve been using it for about a year now — on my second bottle — and been loving it.

9. NYX Butter Lipstick

I purchased this on a whim, wanting to try out some of NYX’s lip products. I personally like nude pinks for my lips, so this color (BLS17 Pops) looked right up my alley. And I was right. It looks great on my, feels super smooth, and is nice and pigmented. It’s the perfect color to wear on an every-day occasion.

10. Airspun Loose Face Powder

I purchased this product last year during CVS’ end-of-the-year beauty sale. It was marked 75% off, and I’d heard Tati at Glam Life Guru rave about it several times before that. I am really glad I picked it up! Whenever I want to set my makeup without wanting anymore coverage, this is the powder I grab for. I definitely recommend you try it out. You won’t be disappointed!

So, there you go! My top 10 favorites! Do we share any products in common! I’d love to hear yours in the comments below!
