Bite Beauty is well known for their edgy, edible lipsticks for some time now and they’re on a role with their new line, Amuse Bouche lipsticks. With sleek and edgy packaging, are these lipsticks worth the pretty pricetag? ๐
If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while now, you’ll know I’m a bit fan and often mentioned Bite Beauty products. I first experienced the brand when I tried their little lipstick duos they sold one holiday. They also earned a spot in my Top Discoveries of 2014 and I’ve featured shades in both my Top 5 Nude Lipsticks and Top 5 Red Lipsticks and just recently tried to finish off the lipstick duo in my Finish 7 By Spring challenge.

If you saw my Instagram photo a few weeks ago, you know that Influenster sent out a package with a new lipstick line from Bite Beauty, their Amuse Bouche lipsticks. If you’ve never heard of Influenster, check them out. You don’t have to be a blogger to receive new product to try — just a social media channel to share it one. ๐
I received three lipsticks from the new line — Pepper, Beetroot, and Gazpacho. Unfortunately, I am so clumsy that when I went to close the lid on the red one, Gazpacho, I accidentally nicked the top off. Yes, I cried a little — my chance to take beautiful pictures were ruined. But, at least that doesn’t effect the performance of these lipsticks!
As you can see from the swatches — which I passed over my skin only twice — the color is very pigmented and both feel and look very moisturizing and glossy. You might be able to see that Beetroot has the propensity to apply somewhat streaky, but it’s hardly noticeable and easy to correct any streaks.
The first up is a neutral mauve, or ‘dusty rose’, called Pepper. My favorite out of the bunch, of course — you know I can never have too many mauve lipsticks! It applies beautifully and feels very moisturizing on the lips, as have all Bite Beauty lipsticks that I’ve ever tried. I know I’m going to be wearing this on the daily this summer, it’s such an easy color!
Beetroot is a dark, deep berry color that, as I mentioned, can apply streaky. Not honestly, any streaks that may appear are easily fixed by a second pass. I really, really like this shade — it’s perfect for a date night. And the shine to the lipsticks leave your lips looking so healthy and plump!
The last color is Gazpacho, a beautiful vibrant red with cool undertones. If you haven’t been able to notice in the lip swatches, none of the lipsticks sink into the lines of the lips, making these work really well for line or somewhat dry lips. This lipstick will be perfect for the days when all I want is a bold winged liner and bright lip. ๐
All the Amuse Bouche lipsticks feel almost like a lip gloss or balm when wearing it and it lasts for at least a few hours before the shine wears away. Once you eat, though, it’ll need to be replied, which I don’t mind. While these lipsticks are rather expensive — though not too much considering they’re a highend brand — I think they’re totally worth it! If you like a glossy finish with your lipsticks, you’ll definitely want to try these out at Sephora the next time you’re in a store!
I received the products mentioned above through Influenster, though I was not required to feature. All thoughts are 100% my own. Any questions about my disclosure, read here.
