Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLuxI love everything about fall — and that includes painting my nails with fall-inspired colors! Today I wanted to share a fun and easy nail art tutorial using my favorite CND™ VINYLUX™ Long Wear Polish. And not only is this nail art tutorial super easy and requires no tools, but it’s also perfect for short nails! These days I am pretty rough on my hands and have weak nails to begin with, so they never get very long anymore. But I still like to have some sort of design on my nails when I am able to do a manicure!

A Little Bit About CND VinyLux Polishes

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | New Design! Before we get into the tutorial, I do want to share a bit of information about the CND™ VINYLUX™ nail polishes that I will be using in this tutorial. I am a really big fan of them because they’re a really quick and easy 2-step system that gives you a gel-like finish. Seriously, just two steps — your color of choice, then your top coat. All done!

The system consists of an all-in-one base and color coat and a top coat, which must be used together for ultimate performance. And I am a firm believer in that top coat! I have come to prefer the CND™ VINYLUX™ Weekly Top Coat over all my other top coats, even when I’m not using their colored polishes.

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | New BrushI love the brushes that CND™ VINYLUX™ polishes have — They’re an ergonomic, curved brush tip that hugs the nail so you’re easily able to cover the entire nail for flawless coverage. These polishes are also the first ever long-wear polish to be infused with Vitamin E, Keratin, and Jojoba Oil. You guys know how much I love Jojoba oil! 😀

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | Available at Rite AidSo where can you find CND™ VINYLUX™ polishes? They’re NEW to Rite Aid this year so be on the look out for them at your local stores in the Nail Bar or Wall Display area! Visit their Rite Aid Store Finder page and see if there’s a store near you! Best of all, as you can see from the picture above, there’s a sale currently going for CND™ VINYLUX™ polishes at Rite Aid. Right now you can buy 2 CND™ VINYLUX™ products and get $4 bonus cash to use on a future purchase. Pretty sweet deal, right? And this sale is good until 12/1/18, in-store only.

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | Shades We UseOkay, let’s get to it! The only supplies that you will need are your CND™ VINYLUX™ polishes (I used the shades Field Fox and Dark Lava. I also used their Weekly Top Coat and two toothpicks. That’s all!

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | Step by Step tutorialSTEP 1: Apply two thin coats of the CND™ VINYLUX™ in Dark Lava to all the nails except the ring finger (I always love to do an accent nail when I have time for a new manicure!)

STEP 2: Using the shade Field Fox apply two thin coats to the ringer finger. I typically wait at least one minute between coats to give it some time to dry.

STEP 3: Using your toothpick, dip it into shade Field Fox and very gently dot it in the design you want. I went for a diagonal dotticure. Do on all the nails except your ring finger.

STEP 4: Now take Dark Lava and do the same dotticure design to the ring finger.

STEP 5: After 2-3 minutes (for the dots to dry so they’d don’t smear) finish with one coat of the CND™ VINYLUX™ Long Wear Top Coat. It’ll seal in your design and give your manicure a gel-like finish. Allow 8-9 minutes for nails to fully dry.

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | Final ResultsYour Manicure is Complete!

That’s all there is to this fall nail art tutorial — I told you it was easy! I’ve always enjoyed doing my own manicures at home, but I’ve never been very skilled in the nail art department, but it’s always nice to add just a little something to a simple manicure. To give it a little more pop. And this is a nail design that I feel like looks great no matter how long or short your nails are.

Fall Nail Art Tutorial for Short Nails with CND VinyLux | Find it At the Beauty Bar at Rite AidIf you want to see more ways to mix up CND™ VINYLUX™ nail polish colors, check out this summer-inspired tutorial I did for them earlier this year. That was my introduction to the brand and, as I said in the beginning, I am now hooked. I love how long they last for me and that top coat is no joke! Remember to use the Rite Aid Store Finder to help you find the closest store!

What’s your favorite color to wear during the fall? Have you ever tried CND™ VINYLUX™ nail polish or seen them in your local Rite Aid Stores? I’d love to hear your experiences!

This is great. My nails are always short because I’m so hard on them. It is nice to see some manicures done on short nails!
