Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Find it at Rite AidCheck out CND™ VINYLUX™ Long Wear Polishes NEW to a Rite Aid stores in the Nail Bar Display with a brand new look! As picture above, I found the polishes easily right when I walked into the store at the nail bar. They have an expansive range of high performing and trendy colors. The system consists of an all-in-one base and color coat and a top coat, which must be used together for ultimate performance.

Depending on your local store — you can look it up at the Rite Aid Store Finder — there might be old and new packaging, but the nail polishes picture above are of the updated packaging. So be on the lookout for them!

The products that you will need are: CND™ VINYLUX™ polishes in Mambo Beat, Skin Tease, and Aqua-Intance, CND™ VINYLUX™ Weekly Long Wear Topcoat, acetone, and any old lip brush you have laying around.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 1Step 1: Apply First Coat

Using the CND™ VINYLUX™ shade Mambo Beat, apply a thin layer to all the nails except your ring fingers. The ergonomic, curve hugging bruse makes it easy to flawless coverage in just two passes.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 1 next polishThen on the ring fingers apply a thin layer of the CND™ VINYLUX™ polish in Skin Tease. I always like to do some sort of accent color on my ring finger, but if this isn’t your speed feel free to just paint this nail red as well. Allow this layer to dry for about 5 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 2Step 2: Apply Second Coat

Go over each nail with Mambo Beat and Skin Tease once again for a second coat to gain full opacity. Allow to dry for at least 5 minutes.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 3Step 3: Dry Your Brush Out

In the next few steps you are going to have to do this technique to each of the polishes you use. All you have to do is scrap the brush of your polish against the sides of the bottle until it resembles the brush above. It should look very flat and dry.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 4 | First ColorStep 4: Have Fun Dry Brush Designing!

This step is the fun part! Starting with the shade Skin Tease, make random designs onto the nail with the dried out brush. You aren’t brushing like you would for a typical manicure — go in different directions and different amounts of pressure to make each nail unique. Do this to all the nails that are red.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 4 | Second ColorThen take the shade Mambo Beat and do the same dry brush technique to randomly swipe it onto the ring finger with the nude nail polish.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 4 | Third ColorTaking Aqua-Intance, do the dry brush technique, and swipe random designs on all the nails. The splash of blue really gives this manicure design a fun pop of color!

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 5Step 5: Apply Top Coat

Using the CND™ VINYLUX™ Weekly Top Coat, apply an even layer to each of the nails. Make sure you let this last layer dry for a solid 10 minutes to ensure it’s completely dry and your manicure design is sealed in.

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Step 6Step 6: Clean Up if Needed

Pour a bit of acetone into an empty cup (I used the cap of the acetone bottle to hold mine) and use a small brush (this one is a little lip brush I had laying around) to dip into the acetone. With the brush fully soaked, just swipe it around your nails to get any messy areas clean. This is a trick I love to do as it makes my manicure look a lot more polished and like I got them professionally done. 🙂

That’s It! Your Manicure is Done!

Easy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Final ManicureEasy Summer Nail Art with CND VINYLUX | Tutorial | Finished ManicureNot only do you have a fun and vibrant manicure to kick off your summer, but you also have a solid manicure using the CND™ VINYLUX™ system that will last. The system consists of an all-in-one base and color coat and a top coat, which must be used together for ultimate performance — as I did in this tutorial. I did this nail design about a week ago and I have just started to experience chipping. Which is fantastic — I am SO hard on my nails I usually get chipping within the first 24-48 hours with most polishes.

What do you think of the new CND™ VINYLUX™ Long Wear Polishes that are now available at Rite Aid? They have over 100 colors to choose from — check out the CND Instagram page to get inspiration and see all the color options they offer! I think it’s really cool that you don’t need to apply a base coat AND that it holds up so well to my busy mom lifestyle. Also, this is the first-ever, long-wear polish that is infused with Vitamin E, Keratin & Jojoba Oil. Anytime something as Jojoba Oil as an ingredient…I get excited! It’s one of my favorite oils!

It’s been a hot minute since I used Vinylux but I recall liking it. It didn’t really last longer than regular nail polish on me, but I have enjoyed the colors CND has come out with.
