It’s been a while since Too Faced came out with a new addition to their Chocolate Bar collection — the Chocolate Bon Bons came out end of 2015/beginning of 2016. And this new release is absolutely stunning. Unlike all three of their previous palettes, the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette is SO eye catching! Ready to see some swatches?

Before we get into the nitty-gritty, I did want to share links to all the previous Too Faced Chocolate bar palettes I’ve reviewed on my blog in the past.

You guys know I love palettes, and having all the palettes in a collection like this is fun as well…so I actually still own all of them. If you want to see an updated opinion on them, or maybe tutorials or eye looks…let me know!
Now on to the review!
Full Review and LIVE Eye Swatches
I’d love to hear from you if the eye swatches were more helpful to see than typical finger swatches. I, personally, feel like they are. But, just in case you don’t want to take the time to watch my review and see all the eye swatches, I did want to include traditional finger swatches here for you guys.
Finger Swatches
First row! The green shows up a lot more intense with a base on the eyes — see my GRWM that I did when I used this palette for the first time. The two mattes on this row are nice. They aren’t the easiest mattes to work with and blend out…but they can work with a bit of TLC.
This row is really, really nice. I love the matte shade in this row and, as you can see, all the shades lean on the neutral/safe side, but are still different and fun to change up your look with. I am thankful they’re not all identical shades of brown. The pink shade isn’t anywhere near as metallic as the other shades in the palette, but it is the best pink I’ve seen Too Faced do!
The last row in the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette! The matte shade is very nicely pigmented and works well for me to use as a base shade. The two shades on the left are stunning and SO pretty to use together in an eye look — like I did with in this video. The purple works nicely if you spray it with fix + and build it up, and that silver shade is BLINDING! SO beautiful!
Do I Recommend?
Yes! Too Faced hit it out of the park to bring us a palette filled with blinding metallic shades! I love it! True, the purple and pink are the most intense, but they do create a really pretty shimmery eye look. I do have to use a primer underneath and a glitter glue to keep the metallic shades from flaking off and falling on my face throughout the day…but I honestly do not mind. The looks are so pretty and I get complements every time I do a look with the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette.
