June Glossybox Unboxing – A Tony Awards Special

June 29, 2016 Katie Marie 10 Comments

Glossybox's June Box is going the Tony Awards route!Last month I shared my first box from Glossybox and this month I received another box — this time themed around the Tony Awards! I know I am late getting this up (it’s almost the end of the month!), but I’ve gotten to give several of the products a try and I hope my unboxing will be more beneficial with the mini reviews included.

If you are not familiar, Glossybox is a subscription box that you can sign up for on a monthly basis — much like Boxycharm. For this subscription service you have two options to sign up for. The $21 box gives you 5 luxury beauty items in either deluxe or full size. The $40 gets you 6 full size luxury beauty products.

The box I received is the $21 June box which, as I already mentioned, is themed around the Tony Awards.

June Glossybox ft Tony Awards

Glossybox is taking you to the Tony Awards! And, thanks to Glamorable (who you should TOTALLY check out if you don’t already read her blog!) I now know that you can sign up with Glossybox through Ebates and get $2.75 back! If you have no idea what Ebates is, read THIS POST where I go into detail explaining how this site works and how you can save BIG money when you shop online!

Opened June GlossyboxLots of great products — several full size ones, too! I love that the box is red this month, instead of the usual pink. I can’t wait to repurpose it!

Tan Towel from Glossybox's June boxTan Towel Self Tan Towelette Half Boxy Application for Face & Body | Retail for Full Size: $27 for 10 | I’ve heard of this brand before, but never tried it. I like the idea of a towelette I can use when I need to touch up before a night out. I didn’t get a chance to try these since there are only two…and this mama wants to save them for a special occasion! I am glad I got them in this box, though! ๐Ÿ˜€

Glossybox Sinful Colors collaboration with Kyle JennerSinfulColors Kylie Jenner Denim & Bling Collection, Acid Wash | Retail: $2.98 | This color looked like a ton of fun, but when I applied it the texture is that type of gritty sandpaper. It does dry down to a matte finish, but I didn’t care for the feel of it so will be passing the bottle on. It was nice to get a nail polish in this Tony Awards themed Glossybox, though!

Sebastian Whipped Creme from Glossybox's Tony AwardsSebastian Whipped Creme | Retail for Full Size: $19.95 | I am familiar with this brand and have loved all the products I’ve ever tried from them. This Whipped Creme is targeted for women with thin hair. Which I do NOT have. So unfortunately I will not be using this.

Two fun face masks from Glossybox's June box!Caolion Premium 02 Bubble & Cool Pore Pack Duo | Retail for Full Size: $31.00 | I tried these products on Snapchat…and I wasn’t the biggest fan of them. The bubble pack tickled my face and the product was super gritty (so you have to be careful not to damage your skin when exfoliating) and the pore mask was so heavily fragranced that for the first few minutes after I applied it the fumes were so strong they stung my eyes. (It was a pretty humorous few minutes of snapping! ๐Ÿ˜› ) And when I finally washed off the mask, it felt like I had burned off a layer of my skin. Such a WEIRD feeling! So…while it was nice to try these out, I won’t be finishing up the products.

LA Splash lipgloss that I received in the Glossybox June box themed around the Tony AwardsLASplash Lip Lacquer High Pigment Collection | Retail: $8.98 | I couldn’t find this exact shade anywhere on their site, which I found odd, but this color is stunning. It’s an incredibly thick lip gloss formula. It took me 3-4 dips into the tube to be able to coat my lips. But the color is amazing! It IS one of those that you do NOT want to wear on a windy day while your hair is down, though. ๐Ÿ˜›Sebastian Dark Oil from this month's Glossybox themed around the Tony AwardsSebastian Dark Oil | Retail for Full Size: $48.00 | I think this was a little bonus inside the box, but oil is fantastic when you want to help sooth split ends and get your hair looking red carpet ready (for the Tony Awards, of course!). I didn’t use this, but did test some out on the back of my hand and it feels nice.

Glossybox themed their June box around the Tony Awards! One other thing I need to add…from all the unboxings I’ve seen and consulting the little pamphlet that covers all the items I get in the box…I think my box somehow got skipped over for this mascara that was supposed to be included. I don’t know if it would’ve been deluxe size or mini. A big bummer, as I like to try mascaras.

And there you have it, everything that arrived in my Tony Awards themed box from Glossybox this month! It’s always lots of fun receiving a subscription box — it’s like your birthday every month! I liked this month’s box a lot more than last months…but I honestly don’t think this is worth the $21. Maybe if I had gotten the mascara, who knows…but maybe next month’s will be better!

Did you get Glossybox’s June box? What did you think of the Tony Awards theme? I’d love to hear which product you liked most in the comments below!

Aw, its a shame the masks weren’t good. I was curious about those. That red lip colour is on point! Love it.

That gloss is a winner for sure! I’m wary of those self-tan wipes, it just sounds like a streaky disaster, haha. I hope that’s not the case, and I’d love to see how they work for you!
