Swatches of the New La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks

March 17, 2016 Katie Marie 29 Comments

These new Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick shades are all so stunning! Unicorn Tears is such a standout shade! You all know I am a big fan of Too Faced’s Melted Chihuahua liquid lipstick, but I’d yet to try their La Creme Color Drenched line. I always loved the packaging with the gold tubes — they have a way of standing out! When they released new shades to this popular line, I knew I had to give some a try. Especially when I kept seeing pictures of the infamous Unicorn Tears floating around social media. What a unique shade!

If you want to see all 10 of the newly released shades swatched on my lips, you’ve come to the right place! But be forewarned…this post is very picture heavy!

So many new, fun colors added to the Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched lipstick collection! As already stated, Too Faced recently introduced 10 new shades into their La Creme Color Drenched line to add to the original collection. Among the new shades there are 5 iridescent shimmers and 5 creams. The packaging for the La Creme Color Drenched lipsticks are so classy and chic! The creamy shades — Topless, Sugar Daddy, Double Bubble, 90210hhh, and Berry Naughty — feel incredibly moisturizing on the lips. Something I want to point out about the creams is that they almost ‘melt’ when you’re applying them to your lips. Not that they drip or anything, but as soon as I started to apply them to my lips they started to feel much more like a lip gloss than a lipstick. This kind of threw me off for a little. Not a con, at all, but something I wanted to point out.So beautiful! Makes me want to go buy all the new colors in the La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick line from Too Faced! The iridescent/shimmer shades — Unicorn Tears, Clueless, WHAM!, and Ursula — have glitter in them, so you can feel that grit between your lips when you rub them together. But they aren’t particularly uncomfortable. These also had that same type of ‘melt into a lipgloss’ feel to them, but not as much as the creams. They still felt very moisturizing, for having so much sparkle!

Beautiful nude shade for light skin-toned girls! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Topless // New Shades!Topless (Apricot Nude): Feels very moisturizing and glides on easily. It can be somewhat patchy to apply, especially if you have dry or very lined lips, like I have. In my opinion this color will suit light skintones the best.

A pretty pinky-nude, I love it for my light-medium complextion! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Sugar Daddy // New Shades!Sugar Daddy (Nude Rose): Of course this is totally my type of nude and my favorite! Out of all the shades in this new release, this one applied the easiest. No patchiness, no tugging. Just glided on my lips like honey!

Such a beautiful pinky shimmer! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Clueless // New Shades!Clueless (Shimmering Cotton Candy): This color shows up a lot more sheer than it appears in the tube, but it does give a beautiful iridescent goldish sheen to the lips. Again, it was somewhat hard to apply evenly — I have very lined lips and it wanted to settle into every line — but once on it felt nice. When I went to remove it, though, it was difficult to get all the glitter off! Same goes for all the shimmers in this line — expect that when the color fades away, you’ll still have lots of iridescent sheen sticking around!

A vibrant pink that I want to rock this spring! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Double Bubble // New Shades!Double Bubble (Bubblegum Pink): This color shows up a lot softer than it appears in the tube. Which I liked — the bright color scared me! — but if you like that bright, vibrant color, you might be disappointed. It’s still a bright color, but not as bright as it appears it will be. It’s a really nice spring color, in my opinion! It can go on patchy, so you have to be careful when applying.

I feel ready to go to a rave with this iridescent shimmer! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Unicorn Tears // New Shades!Unicorn Tears (Iridescent Shimmer): The star of the show! Looking at the tube you would think it would be bright-mint goodness all over your lips, but as you can see it shows up more as a light shimmer on your lips. This one I particularly think best used as a ‘topper’ to whatever fun color lipstick you want to wear. It will give you a beautiful iridescent glow!

A hot girl pink with an iridescent shimmer -- way to make a statement! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Mean Girls // New Shades!Mean Girls (Shimmering Cool Pink): The glitter chunks are a bit more noticable in this one, but is not as patchy to apply as some others. The glitter gives your lips a pink/purple shift that’s absolutely beautiful.

I plan to rock this fun shimmer for the holidays this year! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in WHAM! // New Shades!WHAM! (Iridescent Raspberry): This shade also showed up on the lips a lot different than it appeared in the tube. It looks like a dark plum type of color, but it looked more bright raspberry on the lips. The glitter in this one has a purple-ish shift to it. Also very pretty, but can apply sheer.

What a perfect, classic red lip! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in 90210hhh // New Shades!90210hhh (Candy Apple Red): A very nice, cool-tone red that is extremely creamy and pigmented. With such a bright color, it would be safest to use a lip liner underneath to prevent feathering.

As unique as the character in The Little Mermaid! Vampy and Shimmer meet in this lipstick! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Ursula // New Shades!Ursula (Shimmering Deep Plum): This was another oclor that looked plum/purple in the tube, but on the lips it came off more as a red/brown type of color. It can apply patchy and it wanted to settle into all the lines on my lips. I definitely recommend a liner or lip primer underneath.

What a beautiful, berry shade! // Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Berry Naughty // New Shades!Berry Naughty (Berry Wine): I know its showing up patchy on the inner part of my lips, but I wanted to show this swatch as an example if you have dry lips. (or distressed lips, like in my case after removing all the previous colors!)  I think you can also see in this picture how it settled into the lines of my lips. It’s a pretty bright berry color, though.

Too Faced knows how to design their packaging! These new La Creme Color Drenched lipstick tubes are classy! My biggest recommendation with these La Creme Color Drenched lipsticks are to use a lip liner or lip primer underneath them. While all the shimmer shades in this collection are beautiful, they would work even better/easier if you used it as a topper to any of your lipsticks. It will give them a beautiful sheen!

A look at all the new shades that Too Faced added to their La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick line! What do you think of the new colors in the La Creme Color Drenched line? Out of the 10, which was your favorite? Have you picked up or tried any of these yet??

Did you enjoy the detailed lip swatches? If so, it would mean a lot to me if you’d pin the image below!

I always love the packaging with the gold tubes -- they have a way of standing out! And with so many unique and fun colors....I want to try them all!

I received the products mentioned above as PR samples, though I was not required to feature. All thoughts are 100% my own. Any questions about my disclosure, read here. :-) Thank you for your support!

TF La Creme is my favorite lipstick formula bar none, but I haven’t tried any of the new shades yet. Such great colors. I’ve got my eye on a couple now.

I’d never tried them before — and I was missing out! I’d only ever tried TF melted lippies, and those are great. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of their melted matte liquid lipsticks!

I really tried to love the La Creme Lipsticks, but the super soft formula just falls apart on me 🙁 They do have some gorgeous shades though!

It is very unique, almost like a gloss. It’s a nice change — to bad the formula doesn’t work for you! 🙁

Even though I would have loved for Unicorn Tears to look like it does in the tube, that irredescence is gorgeous. And I do see it as a topper or a center to another lippie you’re already wearing. So pretty.

Yeah, I did too. But, as you said, it’s gorgeous and makes it more wearable for every day — at least for me, it does. I couldn’t have pulled off that mint green/blue color on my lips 😛
