Bath time has always been a fun occasion for my kids, and something of a break for me! True, it’s still a bit exhausting to bend over the tub and wash them up but it does keep them within a confined space for a good length of time. 🙂 Since today is International Bath Day I figured it would be very fitting to share with you the 4 must have bath toys that I’ve discovered since becoming a mother.

4 MUST HAVE Bath Toys
1. Yookidoo Submarine Spray Station
This was sent to me a while ago to try out…and my daughter quickly fell in love. It’s a two piece set — one is the submarine with the sprayer hose attached and the other part suctions onto the tub and you can pour water in different areas to see it spray out. My daughter LOVES the hose, and it really is an ingenious toy that SHOULD be a must have bath toy for every kid.
I don’t know about your kids, but mine has the most fun when the bathtub is filling up. But we can’t keep the water going the whole time — so this little submarine sprayer is the perfect solution because it just uses the water already in the tub. The only thing you have to be careful about is where they point the hose. Sometimes we get sprayed! 😛
2. Skip Hop Moby Bath Spout Cover
This little gem is actually the product that started this idea in the first place! I purchased it because when my daughter just started playing in the tub, I was always TERRIFIED that she would slip and bang her head while playing. And this cute whale solved that problem! It’s the best $12 I’ve ever spent. Nothing like the peace of mind knowing that if an accident were to happen, it wouldn’t be as severe as it could’ve been. Bonus — my kids think the whale is cute, too!
3. Mold Free Bath Toys
Another bath toy that convinced me that I needed to write this post — these mold-free bath toys answered a big issue I’ve always had with those cute bath toys that squirt water. Of course my daughter loves them, but they grow mold so quickly and are impossible to clean. In the past I’ve just thrown them out every few months when I start to see the mold growing. But these Munchkin CleanSqueeze toys removes all those issues. Once bath time is over you just separate the two halves and they’re able to air dry probably and not grow bacteria/mold! SO smart, but a toy that I really don’t see often.
4. Add a Bath Bomb to the Water!
I didn’t think to do this until recently, but Olivia now loves to but a bath bomb into the water. For her, it’s the fun of seeing the water turn colors and the bomb dissolving in her hands, but she also gets the benefits of having her skin moisturized by the organic ingredients that they include in the bath bomb. And to make the bath bomb even better, they include a surprise toy in the center of each bath bomb…so obviously my daughter loves to find out what her new toy is going to be.
Let me know what you think of all my picks for must have bath toys — did I share anything new with you? Let me know what are your must have bath toys! My ears are always open to new toys to make bath time even more fun for my children!

So cute! When I was a kid the only toys I begged for were the crayons that were also soap. LOL I love these toys!

You’ve given me great ideas for the next baby shower I go to. The last one she got so many of the same type of onesies and stuffed animals. These would be unique and helpful.

I didn’t even know that mold free toys existed! I need to look into those because my 3 year old loves the traditional rubber ducky and sea toys in the bath!

My kids never really wanted toys in the tub when they were younger, but they did love bubbles. I love that there is a mold free option though, that would have come in handy.

I am actually so happy to have no more tub toys in my bathtub. They take up so much space! But the no-mold toys are a really great idea, those water squirters are always disgusting.

Bath toys have gotten so much cuter since my son was small.
