I’ve always eyed the No7 makeup when browsing the beauty isles in Target and Ulta, but never took the plunge to try any of them. I never hear anyone talk about them, and that made me nervous since the prices are mid-range. No7 actually sent me a variety of products from their brand several months ago and I’ve been testing them out. Ready to hear if this brand is worth checking out? Let’s dive right in!
No7 Makeup Reviews & Swatches
I haven’t tried everything from the line, so if there is anything from the No7 makeup line that you would like me to purchase and test out — let me know! This array of products from their line definitely has me excited to try more!
So let’s just take it one product at a time. I’ll share with you my experience with them and if I’d recommend you try them. First up — gotta start with the No7 makeup primer!
No7 Airbrush Away Original Primer || Retail Price: $19.99
I always have to use primer before I apply foundation — and usually I wear two. One to keep my oils from breaking up my foundation and one to fill in pores and acne scars. This original primer from the No7 makeup line is a really nice one. It’s meant to give you an airbrush look to your makeup and I thought it did that well. It isn’t super silicone-feeling, which I like! But it still feels very nice and smooth on the skin. It wasn’t anything ground breaking or better than a cheaper alternative: (say like this one from Maybelline that’s half the price). But it gave me a beautiful base to apply my foundation on top of. And it holds up very nicely throughout the day. Would I spend the $20 to repurchase? No. Since an oil-controlling primer is more important to me than pore-filling, this just isn’t worth the price.
No7 Radiant Glow Concealer || Retail Price: $13.99
I was sent three different shades, but I’ve only been reaching for the lightest shade. This concealer doesn’t give a whole lot of coverage — at least to help conceal my dark under eye circles! — but it really does give a brightened and ‘radiant’ glow to your face. Which is why I love using this concealer on the center of my face. It feels very light on the skin, not cakey at all. Which is just what I like when it comes to highlighting my face. Nothing worse then brightening up my face only to feel like I now have serious cake-face.
I love the click-up pen applicator, it makes it really easy and quick to click out what you need, brush on your face, and blend it out. If you are looking for a concealer that will give you more radiance than concealing, this is definitely one I would recommend.
No7 Match Made Bronzer || Retail Price: $12.99
You know I was eyeing these hard — both because the packaging/design and…I love bronzers! They sent me two shades that work for my skin, but over time I’ve come to love and enjoy Golden Sand over Caramel. Mainly because Golden Sand is a bit cooler in tone and lighter: It’s a bronzer I can “go ham” on all over my face and it’s very hard to overdo it. Of course, if you have a deeper skintone than me Golden Sand probably wouldn’t be as ideal for you as it is for me….but Golden Sand has been my go-to bronzer for a while now — I even featured it in my Makeup Monthly Reviews for July.
The formula is extremely buttery soft and the pigmentation you get with just a simple swipe of the finger is impressive. I think this is one of my favorite bronzer formulas to work with, it’s so easy to blend out on top of foundation (both liquid and powder) and I never feel like I have a “streak” on the side of my face. This is definitely the star out of all the products I received from the No7 makeup line and it will definitely be a repurchase in the future. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than other drugstore brands, but in my opinion a good bronzer isn’t that easy to find at the drugstore! This Match Made bronzer is worth every penny!
No7 Powder Blush || Retail Price: $12.99
These don’t have any sort of design, like the bronzers, but they feel just as nice. Very soft and buttery and the pigmentation you get with a brush is fantastic. Blending these onto your cheeks is as effortless as the bronzers. No7 makeup definitely hit it out of the park when it comes to their powder products!
While not quiet as soft, these blushes really do remind me of the LORAC buildable ones I reviewed a while back — and they’re more affordable! They’re very nice and I’ve been enjoying Peach Velvet in particular this summer. Would I recommend? Yes — especially if a pigmented and easy-to-work-with blush is important to you. I’m looking forward to using Damson Mist more as we head into the fall.
No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick || Retail Price: $12.99
While these are definitely not as “moisture filled” as the previous lipsticks, these still feel very nice on the lips. They’re not a matte lipstick so they don’t tug on the lips when applying. It feels like any moisturizing lipstick going on, but sticks around on the lips longer. It’s not any length of time that rivals a matte liquid lipstick, but I do see these hanging in well through a meal.
They are packed full of color with just one swipe — as you can see from the swatches above. I have really been enjoying these lipsticks and do recommend them. They’re $13, but great quality — and since they’re available at Ulta…keep an eye out for sales! These would be a steal with a nice BOGO half off deal. ๐
No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick || Retail Price: $12.99
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a lipstick labeled “moisture drench”. In my mind I saw these slip-sliding all over my face. But in reality….these are so nice! They glide on so effortlessly and comfortable. Even if my lips are dry or flaky, these lipsticks make my lips look good. They fill in and help conceal the flakes and give life back to my lips.
The wear time isn’t any different than a typical moisturizing lipstick: retouching is needed after a few hours and reapplication after eating. But I really don’t mind it because my lips feel and look so good when wearing these! If you can’t tell, I definitely recommend you try these out! Especially if you also struggle with dry lips. Next time I see the No7 makeup in store I’m definitely going to check out the other colors!
That’s it — those are all the products they sent me to try out from the No7 makeup line. If you can’t tell by this point…I’m stoked to try more from them! Overall I was really impressed with the brand. I don’t know why I don’t hear more people talking about them! What should I pick up from them next? I’m eyeing their Stay Perfect foundation and eyeshadow trios. ๐
Have you tried No7 makeup or skincare line? What’s your experience been? Definitely let me know if there is something specific you’d like me to try!
