I’m always on the hunt for the perfect skincare routine. Something that will both help to control my acne breakouts and give me anti-aging benefits. Which is why BeBe & Bella’s new BeBella® Probiotic Skincare caught my eye. I’ve always known that how healthy your body is on the inside can effect the frequency and severity of acne outbreaks, so it made since that taking probiotics with a clean and simply skincare regimen would do great things for my skin. And I didn’t go easy when I started testing BeBella® — I’ve been using a topical prescription medication to control my acne for years. But I stopped it all, cold turkey, when I started this skincare regimen. How did my skin fair trading in prescription for probiotics? Well, let’s find out!
BeBella Probiotic Skincare
Before we continue, let me explain what BeBella® is! Bebe & Bella introduces BeBella®, the world’s first complete dual process probiotic skincare system. BeBella® focuses on attacking the ravages of free radicals with probiotics in topical and oral forms. They work in tandem to help you defy aging in a whole new way.
I was sent a wide variety of products to try from the BeBella® line, so let’s go through them very quickly and I will share with you their purpose, how I used them, and if I would repurchase. Please keep in mind that I have only been using this skincare line for just shy of 3 weeks. I wish I could give you a thorough review of how these products have changed my skin, but that requires at least two months of devoted use.

BeBella® Products I’ve Tried
Probiotic Facial Cleanser | $65
This cleanser is designed to thoroughly remove impurities from the skin while still leaving the skin moisturized and conditioned. A dime size amount is seriously all you need — I use about half of what you see in the picture above and it lathers up to to easily cover my face. While it feels foamy, it actually still feels very thick and when you rinse it off your face feels squeaky clean. But not dried out, which is the craziest thing. Definitely recommend this!
Probiotic Purifying Facial Toner | $55
This is designed to act as both a second cleanse and a pore minimizer. It is very calming to my skin and since I’ve always liked to use some sort of toner in my routine (to ensure my face is completely free of makeup and dirt) I’ve enjoyed using this.
Probiotic Eye Cream | $55
This eye cream combines two patented, and very powerful, probiotic ferment filtrates with Vitamin E to work together to improve the hydration around the eye area and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I don’t think I’ve ever tried such a luxurious and rich eye cream before! It’s definitely one I can only use at night, because it is so thick, but boy have I been loving it! And I’ve noticed a difference in the laugh lines underneath my eyes, too! Oh Yeah!
Probiotic Facial Essence | $70
This BeBella® essence is the lightest-weight moisturizing product that still gives your skin the highest percentage of active ingredients — including their patented ferment filtrates and hyaluronic acid. This product is called essence, not serum, because it is water based and not oil based — I thought that was very interesting! I prefer water based products for my skin during the day, since I have oily skin. I’ve really been enjoying this, and could almost wear it alone as a moisturizer…but since there isn’t any SPF, I still follow up with my usual SPF moisturizer.
Freeze Dried Probiotic Essence with Activator | $70
Pure Probiotics power your skin’s natural ability to re-balance itself and to reveal your own radiant and healthy look. BeBella® patented freeze dried probiotics are vacuumed sealed until you are ready to activate it with their Calibra catalyst containing hyaluronic acid. I felt kind of like a chemist when I combined these. And while it is such a tiny bottle, a little goes a long way and makes such a difference! I can feel it as soon as I smooth this over my skin and it sinks in. Totally loving this stuff!
Probiotic Facial Essence Stick | $65
This stick is made for the women who are on the go and want a midday pick-me-up refresher. It’s just like their original essence formula, but with the added punch of lifting lipid polymers packaged in a novel easy to carry lipstick style container. Apply directly to reduce your puffy eye area or to soften your frown lines. This is nice to have to smooth out any lines that form in my makeup during the day, especially under my eyes. What can I say — I smile a lot. 😀
Probiotic Hydrating Night Cream | $120
This night cream from BeBella® instantly melts into your skin, leaving it feeling very moisturized. It leaves a bit of a sticky feeling to the skin, but since it’s only used at night I don’t mind it. And when I wake up in the morning my skin feels so smooth and hydrated. I’ve been loving it! I do wish they would package it in a pump container to ensure none of the nutrients are killed exposing it to the air each time you open it.
Collagen Pro Supplement Capsules | $31.95
These supplements are taken as an innovative way to provide critical skin nourishment. These capsules contain a combination of hydrolyzed fish collagen peptide, hyaluronic acid, probiotic Lactobacillus casei, Biotin, as well as other skin enhancing vitamins. They recommend taking between 1-3 a day, so I’ve been taking two at night before bed. I am the worst at remembering to take my vitamins, but since I keep these bottles right by my skincare products, it’s been easier to remember!
BeClara™ Skin Brightening Supplement Capsules | $27
These capsules are a revolutionary oral skin lightening and brightening product that contains a powerful combination of our patented strain of Lactobacillus, Glutathione-reduced, NAC, ALA and Vitamin C. With added collagen, BeClara™ gives health, beauty and skin benefits every woman deserves. Their recommended dosage is between 1-2 capsules each day, so again I take two before bed. You do have to be careful with both the supplements, since both capsules look identical.
My BeBella® Experience | Pros & Cons
The first week using BeBella® I noticed new breakouts popping up almost every day, but wasn’t too concerned — my skin typically goes through an “adjusting” period when changing skincare. After the second week, though, I noticed continued acne spots along with my cheeks and forehead starting to look congested. As I said, I have very oily, acne-prone skin and I realized that this skincare line didn’t have any sort of “exfoliating” product — my skin always looks best when there was exfoliation going on. So I added in a gentle daily exfoliator, as well as my weekly mud masks again, and have already noticed a stark difference. The new acne spots have stopped popping up and my skin is looking less congested. If you have acne-prone skin, I definitely recommend keeping some sort of exfoliate in your routine.
Okay, so let’s talk about the cons. This BeBella® skincare line is definitely an investment, but I don’t think that should technically be considered a con. Good skin is worth spending money on! I think the only con with this brand is that you have to remember to take the supplements in order for you to reap all the benefits. This might sound easy enough for some — but I’ve always been so bad at remembering to take my vitamins. I know this isn’t really a big “con”, but I did want to point it out so that if you’re like me…you should take that into consideration. 🙂
I’ve really been loving the BeBella® probiotic skincare line! I’ve been wanting to incorporate essence’s into my skincare for a while now, and Bebe & Bella has several fantastic essences. My skin looks brighter and feels so much softer! I seriously can’t get over how nice my skin feels — I have to remind myself to stop touching my face during the day, it feels that nice!

This brand gave me the worst cystic acne ever. We have similar skin tones and the pain was so bad, I had to revert back to my old regimen and it really helped. I couldn’t take the supplements though because they aren’t vegetarian.

This brand sounds so lovely! I keep hearing great things about them.

This line is just so good! My skin is really responding to the essence, especially.

I love that they include both vitamin supplements and the regular skincare products, you can be sure you’re getting the right combination!

I like the idea of this system, but biotin supplements always broke me out, and it’s kind of a shame that the system relies so much on the supplements. Everything else sounds lovely though!
Lacquerexpression says
Very interesting beauty concept. These all sound amazing.

Pretty costly and I’m sure they’ll not launch in India anytime soon

This brand sounds so luxe – good to know about the exfoliate if you have oily skin (mine is combo). Letting a new medicated facial foam adjust with my skin first. 🙂

I don’t think I’d be able to keep up with taking the supplements. There was a time I was SO GOOD at taking pills every day, but I’ve become so bad at it over the past year or so.

I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I’m glad it’s working for you! My skin is so finicky and sensitive that I’m always hesitant to try new things.
Claire says
This brand looks really luxurious and the products are really interesting !
