Micro Ring Hair ExtensionsSo many holiday parties to go to in the winter and if you’re like me you struggle with how to wear lipstick despite dry, cracked, and even flaky lips. It always flairs right at the most inconvenient time. I mean, who wants to wear a fun red or bold berry lipstick when it sticks under — or skips over — all the dry patches?

How To: Wear Lipstick Despite Dry Lips

Sooth dry lips with any Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color SticksWear a Lip Balm All Day Before the Event

This might seem like an obvious one, but just keeping a very good, thick lip balm on your lips the hours before you want to wear a lipstick will go a long way to making your lips a lot easier to deal with. Neutrogena just released a new Hydro Boost Lip Treatment that I cannot wait to try — it sounds like it’ll be perfect for that intense-day-of-the-party-moisture that I like.

Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are available at Walmart!

Use the Neutrogena Moisture Makeup Remover Wipes to Clean Your Lips before Lipstick!

Wipe Lips with a Moisturizing Remover

Whenever I have to clean off my lips, I always make sure I use an oil or moisturizing makeup remover. Just going at your lips with a tissue will agitate and pull at the cracks in your lips and make the situation worse. 😮 With wipes like the Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, it makes cleaning your lips easy and gentle. These also work amazing on makeup in general. This is my preferred makeup remover wipe when I need to remove makeup, sharpen up a wing, or fix a wonky eyebrow. 🙂

You may be tempted to pass over Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick as not being a real ‘lipstick’ — but don’t! These color sticks pack a lot of color. And it feel so good on the lips. When I’m wearing them I forget I have a bright color on because it feels just like a  lip balms. But my lips are SO much happier, lol. And just to prove that these color sticks pack a punch, here are two bolder shades that I love to rock this time of year!Sooth dry lips with Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick in 70 Plum Perfecthuman hair half wigsThe top color is in 70 Perfect Plum and that strawberry red is 60 Soft Raspberry. They own several more shades that are even deeper and brighter so no matter what preference you have for lip color, they’re sure to have one for you — see all the shades in the Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick line.

If your lips are really, really bad try to focus on your eye makeup. Do something bold and eye-catching. It doesn’t have to be bright colors or a black smokey eye, it can just be a long, bold, statement wing and fluttery lashes. It’ll make your eyes stand out over your other features — like the dry lips. 😛

Yes, that’s the one! It pulls more pink on my lips, but I love the results. I do have fairly pink lips naturally, so maybe it’s a mixture of my natural lip color… but for me it’s a pinky nude 🙂
