LORAC PRO Liquid Lipsticks

LORAC PRO liquid lipsticks are available at Kohls I was so excited when I saw on LORAC’s Snapchat that they released PRO liquid lipsticks — I didn’t realize these were even in the works! But with everyone adding liquid lipstick to their line, I can’t say I’m surprised…only that it took LORAC so long to jump into the game! But liquid lipsticks are really tricky to get right so I was curious to see how they did.

One thing to note, these are a Kohl’s exclusive release at the moment — not even Amazon has these available. They are currently in stock at my local store, but I would check the website first before visiting yours. If they do, I would recommend a stop in to swatch and play!

LORAC PRO liqiud lipsticks is a NEW RELEASE! LORAC Cosmetics released 10 shades in their PRO liquid lipstick line, but I noticed that they all lean very neutral-toned. If you like crazy, bold colors for your liquid lipsticks, this line isn’t for you. You all know how I love my neutrals so this obviously didn’t bother me. 🙂

The wand on the LORAC PRO liquid lipsticks The wand is a traditional, doe-foot applicator wand. There really isn’t any scoop to the middle, but it comes to a nice point (for a liquid lipstick wand). I found that the wand brings out a little too much product, at least for me. I typically swipe some off in the tube neck before applying, but this extra step doesn’t bother me.

Love the Shade Selection!

As you can see, the three colors I received were Mulberry, Dusty Rose, and Nude Rose. All three my type of shades! The thing I love about LORAC’s PRO liquid lipstick shade selection is that they’re all colors you can wear throughout the year and to any job. Well…maybe not Black Cherry, but pretty much all the other shades. 🙂

It goes without saying, but pigmentation is great with this formula! Not watery or sheer at all. They don’t have a moussy texture to them — they remind me most of the Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks in formula — very liquidy, opaque, and sets quickly.

The Wear Time Can be Tricky…

I found that these do not play well when it comes to eating. They are really great at being transfer-proof when it comes to light kisses and such. But once I started eating these would wear away in the inner part of my lip pretty quickly. Even if I was careful. I did find that they layered well, though, as long as you went in with a very thin second layer. Because the nudes are so close to your own lip color, I find that I don’t feel the need to touch up these as much as the Mulberry shade (obviously).

LORAC PRO liquid lipsticks, all in a row I do like the way these PRO liquid lipsticks feel on my lips, though. Once I apply them, there were several times throughout the day that I totally forgot I had anything on my lips — that’s how light and comfortable they were. They didn’t feel overly drying, but they will accentuate the lines in your lips. I have yet to find a liquid lipstick that doesn’t, however.

Do I Recommend These?

Yes and no. Haha, let me explain! I like and recommend the nude shades because they tend to wear away very gracefully throughout the day and they feel so comfortable while wearing them. I wore Nude Rose for over 14 hours and when I removed my makeup that night I was surprised to still see it hanging onto my lips. The darker shades are beautiful and I love how transfer-resistant they are (the most I ever saw was a light ring around the outside of my lips) but unless you are okay with a high-maintenance lipstick…eh. I would pass. I do like that, for a high-end liquid lipstick, these are on the lower end when it comes to price. I can totally see myself picking up that Mauve shade in the future…
