A few weeks ago I received this impressive box featuring some beauty products that are currently available at Bloomingdale’s. Anyone a fan of that store? I wish I could be, because the store is so fancy…but unfortunately the nearest one is almost 3 hours away. ๐ Thank God for online shopping, am I right?!
One of the affiliate programs I am a part of, Ratuken Affiliate Network (RAN), reached out to me a few weeks ago to see if I would like to try some highend picks from Bloomingsdale’s. I had no idea what would be coming within the box, but I was excited. If it was coming from Bloomingdale’s, I knew it would be good!
Bloomingdale’s Picks for this Fall
Missoni Eau de Toilette || Retail: $94 || Click for More Info
I feel like fragrance is really difficult to “review” because everyone has different preferences when it comes to scents. And I am horrible at description, haha. But I’ll give it a try!
This Eau de Toilette is lovely. They’ve literally taken my two favorite scents — citrus and wood — and mixed it with a scent that I like in moderation — floral — to create my “ideal” fragrance. The lasting power of this is wonderful, too. The first day I used this I spritz some on my sleeve and I caught whiffs of it all day. It was very nice — definitely strong in the beginning, which is good, but within 10-15 minutes it “settled” into the perfect perfume strength. IMO. ๐

Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Silver Moon || Retail: $33 || Click for More Info
As you can see from the title this eyeshadow is meant to be a pressed glitter product. I am not the biggest fan of glitter (I prefer my mattes, we all know this, haha!) but I do enjoy playing with them on occasion. I found this very beautiful and lovely on the eyes. It was hard to photograph because there is almost no color to this shadow — it’s just jam-packed with sparkle! ๐ I like that this is pressed, making it a lot easier to work with.
Personally, this would not my first choice if I were to purchase from the Bobbi Brown line, but I can’t deny that this is a nice shadow for a glitter. I think my favorite thing is that this pressed glitter doesn’t feel rough or chunky. It’s very smooth, which is rare in a glitter-type-eyeshadow. At least in my experience.
Clinique Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask & Scrub|| Retail: $28 || Click for More Info
Clinique designed this clay mask for all skin types, which is great! As far as the ‘scrub’ aspect to this mask, it’s very gentle. I wish I could speak to the effectiveness of the mask, but being that it’s a skincare item and I’ve only used it twice I can’t give you a lot of insight.
I can say, though, that my skin was freaking out this month after trying a heavily-fragranced mask. I had several rather big zits that were pretty angry on my face when I used this mask out for the first time. And I am very happy to see that not only do I not have any new breakouts, but my skin has calmed down, too. Will definitely continue to use — follow me on Snapchat if you want to stay in-the-know of how this works over time!
Eve Lom Cleanser || Retail: $50 || Click for More Info
I am completely new to this brand, but I liked the concept of having a muslin cloth to help you cleansing, exfoliating, and improve skin circulation all at the same time. I am not sure if this brand is “all natural”, but this cleanser most definitely has that type of smell to it. A very herbal, so if you don’t like that…you’ve been warned, lol. I found this mask very effective in removing my makeup — all except my mascara. I liked that I didn’t feel like I had to follow this with a regular, gentle cleanser to remove the balm. It washed away easily with water and this muslin cloth.
I will say that the price scares me — I honestly don’t think I will be repurchasing this product. But if you can afford to spend money on skincare this is a nice product. Only time will tell the long-term benefits of using this cleanser.
Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler || Retail: $21 || Click for More Info
If you’ve been reading my recent post, then you know I’ve stopped using eyelash curlers. But for the sake of being thorough and informative, I did test this out. I liked how light weight this is and it felt very gentle on my eye. My last eyelash curler was a $1 one from ELF and I could definitely feel a difference in quality. I wouldn’t go so far to say that it curled my lashes any better than the ELF one…maybe a little bit…but it was certainly a more luxurious experience. ๐
One big con I had with this product, however, was that if I wasn’t carefully to keep the sides of this eyelash curler away from my skin, it would pinch me as I started squeezing it closed. I realize that not all face shapes are the same. But for me, I found it a challenge to be able to get to the base of my lashes and not pinch my skin as I curled them.
And that’s everything in my RAN bonus box from Bloomingdale’s. Overall, I am so happy with everything I got. Are you familiar with any of the brands mentioned above? Let me know what I should try out next! <3

Love Clinique products! I don’t know where my nearest Bloomingdale’s is, but online shopping for the win!
Yes, I am such a big online shopper!
That cleanser is so intriguing!
I love cleansing balms!
I love the Eve Lom cleansing balm and am on my third pot – it was my first balm cleanser. I apply it on a dry face, massage gently – you can feel how it dislodges the makeup – and remove it with a damp washcloth before emulsifying the remnants with water. I follow with a second cleanser and that’s it.
I am big at double cleansing, too! Cleansing balms or oils are the only way I remove my makeup — I just don’t like makeup remover wipes, lol
Nice products! I wish we had Bloomingdales here in Texas. I always shop there when I’m on vacation in cities that have it there.
Haha, sounds like me — I love to shop at stores that I don’t have local when I am on vacation ๐
Clinique has always had some of my favorite skincare! That Bobbi Brown shimmer looks beautiful, too
I’ve used them on and off over the years, but have really enjoyed all the skincare I’ve used!
I so so so soooo need and want to try that Missoni. I keep reading raving reviews about how awesome it smells. What a good set of goodies. Looks like I will be headed to Bloomingdales.
Yes, girl! Spray away and see what you think. I’ve been loving it for fall!
I love and adore that EVE LOM cleanser, but I love that muslin cloth even moreso. Try combining it with a more budget-friendly cleansing balm. It is amazing.
I will have to try that, thanks for the tip!
What a cool box! I’ve never shopped at Bloomingdales just because there aren’t any in my area, but I’d like to buy something there just to say I did. That Bobbi Brown glitter shadow, though pricey, looks like my style!
I know, same here, hahaha!
I don’t have a Bloomingdales anywhere near me either but that Bobbi Brown shadow is gorgeous!
I know girl, such a pretty shadow!
Beautiful products. I love the look of that Bobbi Brown eyeshadow!
I can’t wait to use it in some holiday looks! ๐
I likethe Eve Lom cleanser–there’s a review on it on the blog. I like the KA mascara msurler, but likeyou said, it fits my eyes/face shape, so it doesn’t pinch. Isn’t that crazy how different products can vary on each person?
Yes, it is! face shapes are so different, lol ๐
I want that charcoal mask!! It looks fabulous!!
Its been doing good things to my skin recently! ๐
I’m so curious about Kevyn Aucoin’s eyelash curler. I heard he designed the Shu Uemura one so I wonder if his is better!
I always hear great things about the Shu Uemura one, so that’s cool! This one is nice, depending on your eye shape. I think maybe my eye just doesn’t have the right curve to it, or something, because I have to be REAL careful not to pinch myself!
