Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette – Review, Swatches, & Eye Looks (+ Giveaway)

May 12, 2016 Katie Marie 24 Comments

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Review & Swatches! | FromMyVanity.comI know the buzz for this new Tartelette in Bloom palette died down a while ago, but I wanted to wait until the hype was gone before I got this palette and gave it a try. I was sucked into the hype of the original Tartelette palette and was disappointed to discover that many shadows were difficult to blend out and overall it was just okay. I almost passed on this new palette all together because of that, but after seeing some swatch videos, they changed my mind. So is it better than the original?

Tartelette In Bloom -- perfect for spring!Tarte nailed it on the packaging, there is no question about that. Tartelette in Bloom is stunning and makes the original look sad and plain, haha! I believe this released in the spring, which was perfect timing for this beauty!

Opened Tartelette in Bloom palette -- Yes please!Unlike the original — which was all matte — this new palette has three shimmers mixed in with all the matte shades. Which, I think, is a really nice balance between matte and shimmer! The shimmers are really great quality except Funny Girl. That one is sheer and leaves a lot to be desired.

Let’s hop into the swatches. As always, these are swatched twice, no primer underneath.

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Swatches! As you can see, all the shadows show up impressively. Very soft, buttery feeling and the pigmentation is fantastic. The shimmers are very smooth, which is another plus. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Eyeshadow PaletteOne thing I do find somewhat odd is their choice of dark colors. I can understand Leader, but Activist and Smokeshow are very similar I feel like they could’ve omitted one and included a different shade. Smokeshow does lean more toward black whereas Activist is more brown…but you have to agree with me that they are pretty similar, right?!

Eye looks created using the Tartelette In Bloom paletteHere are three different eye looks I created using this palette. If you want to know which shadows I used for each look, CLICK HERE to see my pin detailing everything. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wanted to show how this palette can be used for very natural looks, as well as more intense looks. I wish the shimmer would show up as beautiful in pictures as it does in real life…but you just have to take my word for it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Snapshot of the new Tartelette In Bloom shadowsI found it surprising that in just a 12 pan palette Tarte was able to include both cool tone and warm tone shades — which is ingenious because it makes this palette enticing for all eyeshadow lovers. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the theme of the bottom row — I loved the matte mauve look I created using those shades!

Click through to check out Tarte's new Tartelette In Bloom palette! So do I recommend the Tartelette in Bloom? Do I like this palette more than the original? The answer to both questions is yes! I find it blends very nicely, all the matte shades are outstanding, and two of the three shimmers I use often. In my opinion, only have one ‘dud’ in a palette is still really good! I will not be getting rid of this palette anytime in the near future — it’s going to it’s new home right beside my most-used and most-loved palettes!

Everything I buy on amazon I adore!

I would love to see a more detailed review of the matte shades here after you’ve used them for a bit. I have read/heard that they can be a bit on the chalky side.

I actually really love the original, and don’t find the shadows to be hard to work with – but maybe I got lucky with mine lol I swatched this palette in ULTA a few months ago, and the textures really are super buttery. I managed to resist this palette so far, but knowing me I’ll wind up buying it at some point haha

I love all the three looks you’ve done with this. I haven’t bought a Tarte palette in a long time – mostly because I’ve been on a palette no-buy. The packaging is reeling me in!

I bought a lipstick organizer on Amazon recently, and love it. I put in miscellaneous small items such as tweezers, lip conditioner, sample perfume vials, make up eraser pin, small tube of highlighter, Bobby pins, deluxe sample mascaras and so on. Basically, small and sundry items that tend to get lost or overlooked and that I use often, or intend to. I ended up liking it so much I ordered a second one. Maybe the next one will have room for a few lipsticks! Honestly, it only cost $3.00, but I am thrilled with how useful it is.

I buy so many items from Amazon, they have everything you need! I am a Prime member so most things ship free which makes it super convenient. This tarte palette is beautiful, love the colors and all the looks you can get with it. Thanks for all the hard work you do !

I don’t purchase much on Amazon, but did just get a book for my sisters birthday, hoping she likes it!

Thanks for the informative review! I have been eyeing this lovely palette, so its great to get an opinion from someone who’s already purchased it!
