PUR Cosmetics | NEW Fully Charged Magnetic Mascara

April 15, 2016 Katie Marie 32 Comments

PUR Cosmetics new Fully Charged mascara has been giving my lashes life! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve tried a new mascara and this new Fully Charged Magnetic mascara from PUR Cosmetics has been giving my lashes life recently. Ever since it arrived, really. My lashes have been really sad ever since my postpartum hair loss started kicking into full swing (no one ever told me you also loose lashes! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ) so I’ve been needing a good mascara to amp up the volume for me!

The new PUR Fully Charged mascara is in a cylindrical, black tube that has a similar, velvety feel as the popular NARS packagingFirst order of business – the packaging! ๐Ÿ™‚ The new PUR Fully Charged mascara is in a cylindrical, black tube that has a similar, velvety feel as NARS packaging or LORAC’s Pro palette. Not as messy as those tend to be, but you will definitely see smudge marks if you grab these with foundation or eyeshadow on your fingers. (Not that I’ve done that or anything….)

NEW Fully Charged Magnetic Mascara from PUR Cosmetics | FromMyVanity.comI’ve never noticed any serious flaking when I’m wearing it. I get a slight bit — but I feel like I always discover at least a few flecks on my face no matter what mascara I’m wearing. There wasn’t any smudging, so that was good. Smudging is a total deal-breaker for me!

Close up of PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Mascara | FromMyVanity.comUnlike the box — that has the cute pink tips to the C, making it look like a magnet — the actual lettering on the tube is all in white. Bummer, as I liked the pop of pink.

Close up of the PUR Fully Charged mascara wand | FromMyVanity.comThe wand is pretty fat, as mascara wands go. I, personally, enjoy large, thicker mascara wands (big fan of the Too Faced Better Than Sex) so my initial perusal of this mascara was very promising. When I pull out the wand, not much product collects at the very top since it’s a thicker, more gel-like formula.

My vanity looks complete with this gorgeous, chic mascara tube from PUR Cosmetics | FromMyVanity.comThis mascara is strengthened with a blend of provitamin B5 and Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1 (yes, I had to look that one up!) to help condition and strengthen the lashes to prevent lash loss. Which, as I’ve already mentioned, I totally need right now! Enough talk, though, let’s see how the mascara looks on my lashes!

Just one coat of PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Magnetic mascara does THIS to my lashes! As you can see, my lashes ‘Before’ look pretty sad. Especially the ones on the outer corner. For some reason those have fallen out the most! The ‘After’ picture is just one coat. Now, in my book, one ‘coat’ is how much you apply before you stop and let that layer dry. So I passed it over my lashes many times, but it’s still one ‘coat’. Make sense?

Give me more mascara! | PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged | FromMyVanity.comMaybe I’m just heavy handed, but as you can see from the picture this formula can tend to clump my lashes. However, I don’t mind a little bit of clumping and have never become frustrated with the results I get using this Fully Charged mascara. The scent of this mascara is typical of just about every other mascara out there. I can’t really describe it, but if you wear mascara, you know what I’m talking about! ๐Ÿ˜‰

NEW | PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Magnetic MascaraFor a high-end mascara, I definitely like and recommend the PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Magnetic mascara. I’ve tried more expensive high end mascaras that perform a lot worse (*cough* Marc Jacobs *cough*). This doesn’t claim to be waterproof, but I was impressed that when my eyes watered, it didn’t run. Certainly worth the purchase if you’re in the market for a new mascara and like the size of the wand!

What’s a total deal breaker for you when it comes to mascara? Size of the wand? Scent? Consistency of the formula?

I’ve always been confused at what a “coat” is. I usually just apply one layer. Your explanation sounds good to me! The mascara wand looks nice. It’s been awhile since I used a traditional brush rather than a silicone one, so it might be nice to get back to it. When I finish my current mascara up, I should really pull it out!

Haha, glad to know I’m not the only one who’s always like “What’s a coat?” ๐Ÿ˜› Yeah, I enjoy going back and forth with different mascara wands. It’s nice to change things up ๐Ÿ™‚

Your lashes look good! I didn’t think they looked that clumpy at all! I have major issues with most mascaras looking clumpy on me as I have no lashes so anytime I try to build them up I have issues! I’ll have to look into this one! I haven’t tried a mascara from this brand yet! Also, I feel ya on the Marc Jacobs. It was horrible on me!

Thanks! When I’ve been wearing this mascara, I don’t think they’re clumpy at all. I like the results! But when I was editing it I realized it could look kinda clumpy, depending on what you consider ‘clumps’, lol ๐Ÿ™‚

I find this mascara just a tad clumpy too, but nothing I can’t handle. I find it’s been working pretty well for me, but it’s not a forever favorite

It can get clumpy, but when I keep applying they tend to work themselves out. ๐Ÿ™‚

Very nice review. I’m used to bigger brushes, though. Perhaps I need something like this to stop messing up my application!

If a wand is too big, I tend to get it all over my eyelid, so frustrating, haha!

Kinda sad about the clumping. I have very fine and few lashes so I try to avoid the clumping…if not I end up looking like I only have five lashes!!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah, this might not be for you. I don’t have fine lashes, so even when it can be a little clumpy it works itself out.

That looks so good on your lashes! My outer corners suck too, so I take all the help I can get from any mascara. Also, your lashes don’t look clumpy!

Thank you! I love the look I get with this mascara, but it is that type of formula that can get clumpy if you’re not careful.

I love this mascara, and I also find the brush similar to that of Too Faced Better than Sex mascara, which happens to be my holy grail. I feel like this one is similar and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far. Great before & after shots!

You got lovely results, and my peach fuzz is totally envious of your bare lashes. I agree with your definition of one coat LOL.
