Okay, now let’s jump into the tutorial!

Prom Makeup Eye Tutorial

Step by step tutorial for a prom-inspired opal shimmering makeup eye look. So easy, and it only requires a few shadows!Step 1 //  After applying the eyeshadow primer I used Matt Malloy to highlight the browbone and I blended that downward into the crease slightly.

Step 2 //  Taking Matt Rosen I warmed up the crease very lightly.

Step 3 // Use a touch of Matt Garcia to concentrate in the outer corner and deepen it up slightly.

Step 4 // I find it’s easiest to apply the Osmosis color with my finger, though you can use a brush. The finger gives the most intense application. Either way, just pat this firmly across your lid and into the outer corner just slightly.

Step 5 // I used a mixture of Matt Garcia and Matt  wood, I blended all the colors together and darkened the outer corner to my desired intensity.

Step 6 // Line the eyes…and if you’re like me, wing it out. 😉

Step 7 // Apply favorite mascara

Step 8 // I decided to break out the false lashes for this occasion, but this is totally optional!

Step 9 // After applying the nude pencil to your waterline, blend a mixture of Matt Rosen and Matt Garcia on your lower lash line.

Step 10 // Apply a mauve color to your lips.

Magic Ponytail Hair Extensions And that’s all there is too it! Super easy, isn’t it? I told ya! 😉 Make sure you also stop by and see everyone else in this collab. The inspiration was “Prom Inspired” and each gal could interpret that the way they wanted. As you say, I went the makeup route, but other gals did nail designs. So hop around and check them all out. 🙂

I actually had a really hard time with the wing this time, and wasn’t a fan of how it turned out, honestly. But sometimes you just have to do your best and then rock it like you meant it to look that way 😛
