Fall is my favorite season of the year, hands down. What better way to get into the fall spirit than to decorate your vanity?! We’re all makeup-obsessed girls here and enjoy spending time with our makeup at our vanity, right?! Revamping a small space in your house doesn’t have to be hard OR expensive, so keep reading to discover 5 easy ways to decorate for fall!
1. Fall Flowers & Vase
This has to the most popular way to decorate for fall and, the best part, is that it doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. I found this beautiful jar on clearance the last time I was grocery shopping (isn’t the green frost and metal leaf so fall-appropriate?!) and these artificial flowers can be found just about anywhere. Let a bit of creativity flow and arrange the flowers inside the jar — BAM, fall is in the air! 🙂
2. Sparkle 3D Leaf
I stumbled across this cute, sparkled leaf at my local dollar store and couldn’t help but pick it up. What girl doesn’t like some sparkle on their vanity, right?! I wish the true essence of the sparkle showed up better…but it really is beautiful! Since I wanted it to be able to be seen really well, I tipped my tissue box on the side (so I could still get a tissue when needed) and set the sparkle leaf on top. Now it backdrops my makeup brushes beautifully!
3. Leaf Wall Decorations
This was my favorite fall decorating idea! These little leaves were also at my local dollar store. I believe they are supposed to be coasters, but of course this fall-loving girl wanted to see them adorned on my fall. (Aren’t the colors SO beautiful?!) All I had to do was use push-pins to adhere them to the wall. Super simple — and it’ll make clean-up after the holidays super simple as well! What do you think? Would you decorate your vanity with these leaves?
4. Candy Jar
I know this one is totally unnecessary…but for some reason when the fall season comes around I love having a little cup filled with fall-inspired candle. (Who doesn’t love some candy nearby, on hand, as you’re getting ready in the morning, right?! 🙂 ) The cup I have the candy in is a brown frosted cup that has etched leaves on the side. I wish you could see the details, but it’s so faint I couldn’t get it to show up in pictures very well. 🙁 Ah well, suffice to say all you need to do is find a pretty jar that reminds you of fall and fill it with your favorite candy!
5. Fall Candles
You know I had to include a candle! I am all about my candles — I’m not sure why, but I just love having candles burning throughout my house. And fall-fragranced candles are my favorite of all! They always remind me of past holidays spent with my family. My mom is Latino, so every holiday was always a big ordeal of family and food and there would always be a candle burning somewhere in the house making everything smell like pumpkins or pecan spice. 🙂 Such good memories!
Yankee Candle has always been a favorite brand of mine throughout the years — mostly because it’s what my mom would use. 🙂 But when I was in Wal-Mart the other day I found these American Home™ by Yankee Candle® candles that had so many yummy fragrances that were fall-inspired, it took me forever to make up my mind!
I snapped these pictures while in store so you know where they can be found. For some reason I thought they would be in the food section with the other smaller candles, but these American Home™ by Yankee Candle® are actually nestled appropriately in the Home Decor aisle. And they have so many different types! I, of course, grabbed a 19oz large 2-Wick Tumbler Candle in Sweet & Salty Caramel for just $14.93. So affordable for such a big jar!
I also got a Fragrance Beads jar in the same scent to put in my bathroom — for $3.43, I just had to! It’s a great way to keep my bathroom smelling fresh without having to worry about a candle being lit in a small room (for some reason, it bothers me if the candle isn’t somewhere I can kind of ‘keep an eye on’ while it burns. 🙂 I also grabbed a smaller 4oz Tumbler Candle in Pumpkin Apple Harvest. The fragrance seemed very intense, but…it smells so good! So I decided to get the smaller tumbler for just $4.93 in case it ended up being too strong (which it wasn’t…so now I need to go back and get the bigger tumbler!). What’s your favorite candle fragrance for fall? Don’t you just love to smell pumpkins, or caramel, or apple spice throughout your house. It’s like cooking dessert without the fattening aspects of it!
And there you have it, 5 easy ways that I decorated my vanity for fall! Super easy and super affordable! How do you decorate your vanity for fall? Are candles a must for you as well? I’m convinced they’re such an important aspect of my holiday seasons because of my mom’s culture that was ingrained in her as a young age. What do you think? Do you keep a nice stock of American Home™ by Yankee Candle® for the fall?

I like apple scented candles! Sometimes they can be too strong and give me a headache, but this one that’s blended with a harvest fragrance is amazing!
