Good morning, y’all!! It feels like forever since I disappeared from the blogging world. Lots has been going on in my life, and I feel like every time I would decide to jump back into blogging again, something would come up and I would have to post-pone again.
However, I am now officially back! And will be back, at least until my due date in November. I’m currently almost 23 weeks pregnant (yay, halfway over!). If you all want to hear an update on what’s been going on since I disappeared, let me know and I’ll consider writing up a little post. I typically prefer not to ramble on about my personal life here —- you’re all here for beauty, right? — but I can make exceptions.

The Scoop About These Products

An illuminating primer that blurs imperfections and boosts the radiance of foundation.
Touch Eclat Blue Perfector — full size, 0.33 oz — Retail $55
A blur perfector compact that perfects the skin while retaining its luminous glow.
My Review of Touche Eclat Blur Primer
It might be obvious from the pictures, but Influenster sent me a deluxe sample size of their primer. The full size is like a typical size for primers, which is a full ounce. I’m always eager to try a new primer. I have very oily, acne-prone skin with lots of hyper-pigmentations and enlarged pores from past acne breakouts….so anything that helps me get a more even, flawless complexion with my foundation is a win for me.

Along with making your skin feel amazing, this blurring primer also filled in the enlarged pores and smoothed out any rough area I had on my face. It really does a phenomenal job at giving me a perfected canvas to work on with my foundation/concealer. As for length of wear, the flawless look lasted all day on my face. I felt so pretty and confident wearing this under my foundation.
My Review of Touche Eclat Blur Perfector
I typically use loose or powder products to set my foundation, so it was slightly weird to use this product. If you’ve ever tried Mally Beauty’s Face Defender, this blur perfector from YSL reminds me of that. While it has a really slick, silicone-y feel to it (which worried oily-prone me) it did do a great job at keeping my face looking radiant and flawless. I only applied this to my the top of my cheeks, forehead, and chin and it helped to blur out any lingering imperfections that might’ve stuck around after applying my foundation and concealers.

The only down side that I consider this product has is the fact that the full size only gives you 0.33 oz of product. That’s not a whole lot, in my humble opinion, so I personally am not sure the pricetag is worth getting that amount of product. It will last a decent while, since it’s a pressed product and you don’t need much on your sponge. It’s definitely a luxury buy, though, in my book.

Do you enjoy splurging on a luxury product every now and then, or do you tend to stick to the affordable drugstore products for everything in your makeup collection?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above from YSL through Influenster in the hopes that I would mention them on my blog. Regardless, this does not guarantee a review or feature on my blog. I only share information that I think will be useful for my readers and I only review products I have personally used. Huge fan of YSL here. I received a sample of the Blur Primer (with Sephora order, hehe) and its decent. I also got a little itty sample of the Blur Perfector but haven’t tried it yet. ๐ Didn’t realise the full size had such little product.

Kimmy – These are the first products I’ve tried from YSL. The primer was the highlight of these two, for me. The perfecter was okay, but — like you — I was pretty disappointed that so little comes in the full size product.
