My February Favorites!

March 2, 2015 Katie Marie 11 Comments

It’s time for me to share the products I really loved during the month of February!

I also wanted to clarify that I am not picking products just to share — I will only feature products in these monthly posts that I truly loved and used a lot during the month. If there is a month where I didn’t gravitate toward any products more than others, I won’t have a monthly favorites. Does that make sense? I hope so!

With that being said, I only have three products that really stood out to me this month. They were all relatively new purchases for me, and I just got into a rut where I was using them on a daily basis. Let’s start from the top!

My February Beauty Favorites

Longwear Matte Liquid Lipsticks — prices vary, Anastasia, LA Splash, & Ulta — These are the products I have been most excited about this past month. I’ve always enjoyed matte, longwear lip colors, but this past month I just started purchases several new ones that have been popping up since the start of the year (I’m sure you’ve heard about them!)

My top favorite have to be the ones from Anastasia Beverly Hills. The colors I own are Heathers, Lovely, and Pure Hollywood. I love how light they feel on my lips and how they don’t feel drying when I’m wearing them.

Also a favorite is Innocent Vixen from LA Splash. The line is a more affordable option ($11.95) and while they’re a bit thicker and don’t feel as light, they still wear well and look great.

And I can’t forget my Lime Crime Velvetine! I actually originally purchase Wicked and Salem along with Cashmere, but this is the only one I kept. I’m not entirely fond of the formula, but my husband likes the color on me — so of course I wear it! 😉

The last one I want to tell y’all about are the Rimmel Provacalips ($6.69). I own, and love, the colors Make Your Move and Heart Breaker. They’re definitely the most drying out of the three, but I love how well they stick to my lips! 🙂

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer — $7.99, Ulta — While I don’t think this concealers my undereyes at all, I do feel like it does a lovely job highlighting the areas of my face. I tend to use this when I am just having a regular day, nothing special, and don’t mind if my undereyes aren’t completely hidden. I’ve been grabbing it a ton this month!

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso — $8.49, drugstores — This one really surprised me, as I didn’t think I would like this as much as I do. I bought it on clearance several months ago, but didn’t pull it out until January. I was afraid it would have too much ‘sparkle’ in it for me, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it gave me a very natural, every-day flush to my cheeks. I’ve been wearing it almost constantly this month!

Not too many this month, but the ones I did love I feel like I ‘loved’ them every day, lol! I’m looking forward to discovering more new products this next month.

How about you all? What products did you find yourself constantly reaching for during the month of February? And if you’re a matte liquid lipstick fan like I am….what’s your favorite brand/color??

Great favorites! I really have to get my hands on one of those Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks, I have already been eyeing several colors of them. I do the same thing with my favorites, if I don’t use anything different or have stand out products, I just don’t post one. 🙂

I am definitely going to try the Rimmel Provacalips. Good price range for me. I really like the idea of lip stain but I am not sure which one to buy so this is helpful! Can you tell me how this differs? I know nothing about make up really!

I’m a huge fan of the Maybelline Lumi Concealer! It’s great for brightening and highlighting under the eyes. I’ve been eyeing a few shades of the Rimmel Provacalips! And the packaging is just so cute.

I’d love to try the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer but I have dark rings under my eyes so need really good concealers! But for spots and stuff I’m sure this product would be perfect.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Rimmel Provacalips, I am thinking to give it a try soon. My favorite product this month was definitely my Rose flavored Labello, it did a great job on my lips to prevent chapping.

I REALLY want to try those Anastasia liquid lipsticks! I’ve heard such good things. And the Lumi Touch concealer is amazing for highlighting, I went through mine so quickly and have to get another one!

Hello there! I would like to know if Innocent Vixen is a good dupe for Pure Hollywood. Do you have a photo comparing them? Tks

Marilia, Innocent Vixen is not a dupe. It’s close, I would say, but the Pure Hollywood has a bit more pink and warmth to it than the Innocent Vixen — that’s pretty neutral.
