Did you like my surprise post yesterday? I hope you took time to check it out — it’s about a new palette that’s hitting the shelves at the drugstore! If you didn’t get the chance to read it, be sure to scroll back up to the top and click here to read it! With that said, let’s dive into today’s post, shall we?! We’re looking at the high-end skincare brand called Dermalogica. Have you ever tried it before?
I’ve seen them in Ulta countless, but never tried them before. Not really sure why, it was just one of those brands I always passed over while shopping. So when I was sent two travel-size products from this brand, I was more than happy to put them to the test!
The Scoop About these Products
PreCleanse Wipes, 20 ct – Retail: $18
My Review of Dermalogica PreCleanse & PreCleanse Wipes
First Impressions & Packaging:
I received a 1 fl oz bottle of the Dermalogica PreCleanse and 10 pre-moistened PreCleanse wipes. I really liked that the liquid PreCleanse has a dropper on the bottle once you opened the cap, which ensured you didn’t pore out too much product than what you needed.
The Packaging was, of course, very high end and stylish. I loved the sticky flap for the PreCleanse wipes. It wasn’t like the kind you get from the drugstore makeup removers. The flap was really stiff and really sticky, so whenever I stuck it closed — it stayed stuck, at every corner. No worries of your wipes drying out before you’ve had a chance to use them!
I was impressed with the Dermalogica PreCleanse liquid. I did the two step process — first massaging it all over my dry face, and then adding some water to continue working the makeup off. When I would rinse it, it would only take a few times running water over my face before I felt like all the makeup and PreCleanse was gone. I didn’t even feel the need to follow up with my face wash (which I normally do with my makeup removers). Your face feels clean afterwards.
Major Likes & Dislikes:
These cleansers do a fantastic job at removing your makeup. I always follow up with a toner after I’ve washed all the makeup off — just to make sure it’s all gone. And there would be no trace of make up that transferred onto the cotton pad. That’s pretty great in my book!
The Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes performed just as well as the liquid. While I don’t personally like to use wipes to remove my makeup on a daily basis, this would be great to purchase when I know I’m going to be traveling. It’s always such a pain to pack liquids when flying — and there is always that chance they’ll leak — so being able to throw these wipes into my skincare bag would be one less thing to stress about on my trip!
Final Thoughts:
I really, really like this cleanser! I could see people saying that it makes their face “too” clean, like it sucks the moisture out of their face. But since I naturally have oily skin, and I always follow up with a moisturizer after I wash my face anyway, I didn’t notice any negative effects of this cleanser on my skin.
I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about these products. Except maybe the price — but it’s highend, so I don’t expect them to be drugstore prices. But it’s just something to consider. If you like to invest in high quality skincare products, then I would say one of these Dermalogica PreCleansers are worth picking up the next time you’re at Ulta!
Do you like to get high-end skincare products? Or will any drugstore makeup remover work for you? I do like to invest in a product that will remove all my makeup without leaving any residue behind, as I don’t want any acne spots to appear overnight!
I received the products mentioned above from iFabbo. All thoughts are 100% my own.

exfoliating powder? Hmm, that sounds really neat. And it seems like it would be very gentle. Good to know! ๐

Really great review!! I may need to try out the cleansing oil for sure, it sounds like it really takes everything off. I’ve never really tried any Dermalogica either, I don’t know why… maybe because in my Ulta it’s tucked away in the very back and I just don’t notice it much. I have had microdermabrasion at Ulta before and I’m pretty sure they only used Dermalogica! I liked it then! ๐

Yeah, it does a really thorough job at cleansing my face. And the travel size lasts a LONG time, too. I used it for a straight week, and there is still a lot left that I’m going to save for my next trip. ๐

I don’t really use skincare products since I have a very normal skin and I usually clean it with cleansing milk and voila! everything settles, haha! But this products looks impressive.
PS: Your new design looks great Katie x

I’m so jealous of you — normal skin sounds amazing! Mine is so acne prone and oily, lol.
Aww, thanks, I really liked the old design, but wanted to give it a refreshed, new look ๐

Yeah, they do! Yes, totally, and the fact that you went this wipe after you’ve massaged it into your face really helps clean your face a LOT more than typical face wipes, in my opinion. ๐

Its nice to know the wipes do just as good of a job as the cleansers do! Thats not always the case.. And even though (like you) i dont prefer to use wipes to remove my makeup on the daily, its good to know they will work great those times I do use them! โฅ
