BoxyCharm’s March Unboxing

March 30, 2015 Katie Marie 9 Comments

I’m sneaking in BoxyCharm‘s March box right here at the end of the month. I had wanted to get this up a lot earlier, but things happen.

boxycharm-march-unboxing-pinterest-featured-imageIf you want to see all the products I received in my latest box, just keep reading!

What’s Inside BoxyCharm‘s March Box

boxycharm-march-unboxing-boxThey used the typical boxes, which I was thrilled to see. If you don’t remember, last month they sent it in a very different box and, honestly, I was pretty disappointed. So I’m glad to see that looked like a one-time deal.

boxycharm-march-unboxing-boxycardOf course the box was all about St. Patrick’s day! ๐Ÿ™‚

boxycharm-march-unboxing-productsHere’s a quick snapshot of all the products. Let’s take a look at each of the products, shall we?

boxycharm-march-unboxing-previse-skin-serumThe first thing I reached for was this bottle wrapped in a couple layers of bubble wrap. It’s called Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic. I was really excited to get this and plan to start using it regularly in the coming months.

boxycharm-march-unboxing-ofra-darkbrownThey’ve included several OFRA products in the past, one was also a eye liner, so I was kind of disappointed to see yet another eyeliner in the box. At least it was a different color than the last, but I found the last eyeliner I got to be really dry.

boxycharm-march-unboxing-ofra-swatchThe swatch looks very pigmented, though, so maybe I’ll try heating it up before I use it so it goes on easier. And, hey, you can always use more eyeliners!

boxycharm-march-unboxing-lvx-nailpolishWho doesn’t love nail polish, right? And this LVX nail polish color is totally on point when it comes to spring colors. ๐Ÿ™‚ I already gave myself a quick manicure with this polish and while it wasn’t as opaque as I prefer (2 coats was still a bit streaky), the color is gorgeous!

boxycharm-march-unboxing-tarte-charmedNext product I pulled out of the box was tarte’s LipSurgence lip tint in ‘Charmed’. A girl can always use a new lipstick and I hear great things about this product. Unfortunately, the color isn’t one that I would typically wear, so I think I’m going to pass this one on to my younger sisters to wear.

boxycharm-march-unboxing-tarte-charmed-swatchI wasn’t able to do a lip swatch. I’ve had a cold sore for the past week and have been giving my lips a break to try to heal it all up once and for all. Cold sores are NOT fun!

boxycharm-march-unboxing-oscar-blandiThe last product in the box was this Oscar Blandi Hair Lift, which is a thickening and strengthening mousse. It’s a pretty decent travel size, which was nice, but this product isn’t something that I’ll be able to use. Once again, because it’s not a product I can use — I have thick hair — I’ll pass this along to my mom and let her use it.

The Value of BoxyCharm‘s March Box

As always, I like to do the math to show you the value you get from paying $21 a month. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oscar Blandi Hair Products – Travel Size – $11

OFRA Eyeliner – Full Size – $13

LVX Nail Lacquer – Full Size – $16

tarte LipSurgence lip tint – Full Size – $24

Previse Nutrifying Skin Tonic – Full Size – $48

TOTAL = $112

Getting over $100 worth of products for only $21 is a pretty good deal, in my opinion. I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t too excited about this box, because there were several products I just can’t use. But the products you can’t use could either be resold on a Facebook Makeup Selling group or gifted to family or friends!

What do you think of this box? Would you have liked to get this box? I’m curious to hear what your reaction to this box would’ve been! ๐Ÿ™‚

I received the products mentioned above from BoxyCharm in the hopes that I would mention them on my blog. Regardless, this does not guarantee a review or feature on my blog. I only share information that I think will be useful for my readers and I only recommend products I have personally used.

Wow, it looks like you got some really great products! I’ve never tried BoxyCharm before, but now I’m definitely going to look into it! I love Tarte lip surgent products, and I haven’t tried anything else mentioned in your box before but they all look fun. Thanks for sharing what you got!

Yeah, I’m always excited when there is a Tarte product included in a box. I’ve tried out another one of their LipSurgence before, because it was in the box, too. I like BoxyCharm because of that — I get to try full size products that I probably wouldn’t purchase otherwise. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry you weren’t super excited about your box! I’ve never tried this box out before but some of the products look good. That nail polish is really pretty. I think I got that same Tarte lippie in their Advent Calendar, but I can’t remember if it was the same color. I never really wear it though! I think I might like the Oscar Blandi product, but I always always forget to use hair products, I don’t know why haha, maybe they just aren’t as exciting as makeup! ๐Ÿ™‚

The nail polish is really pretty. Have to work with it so it isn’t patchy, but some colors are so beautiful, you are okay with working with it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha, I know, I forget to put product in my hair ALL the time! I like to put in product right after the shower, after my hair has started to try but isn’t totally dry, and I’ll usually remember it once my entire head is dry. *face palm* One day! One day I’ll get it down ๐Ÿ˜›

It’s a shame you were disappointed with the products this time around! It seems like a really great selection though, I might look into switching to BoxyCharm from Birchbox.

Yeah, it wasn’t the most exciting box I’ve received (like the box where I got a Revealed eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents. That was awesome, lol!) But it was still a decent box. And filled with products that will make great gifts for my family ๐Ÿ˜‰

I like BoxyCharm because you get FULL SIZE products in the boxes, and that gives me a better feel for products, than a sample would ๐Ÿ™‚
