Top 5 New Drugstore Products I Want to try this Spring!

January 9, 2015 Katie Marie 19 Comments

There are so many new products popping up at the drugstore! While there is a part of me that wants to try them all, there are a few that stand out more than most. These are the products I am definitely stalking my local Ulta and drugstores waiting for them to arrive. πŸ™‚

1. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte line

This whole line looks really intriguing, but the three products I am most intrigued to try are the 2-Step Lip Color, the Pro-Matte Foundation, and the Pro-Set & Spray Makeup Extender Setting Spray.

I love a matte finish for my foundation, so I’m always on the hunt for a new “holy grail” drugstore foundation. I’ve heard a few reviews, all good, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this foundation.

One thing I am always looking for are lipsticks that will not transfer once dried. I can’t be the only wife who loves to wear lipstick, but hates when I can’t kiss my husband afterwards.

2. Rimmel Provocalips

I feel like I’m all about the lips as I start this new year — I want to expand my lipstick collection, and really focus on those that will last (see my previous comment about kissing my man ;-).

So Rimmel’s new Provocalips are definitely on my radar to snatch….whenever my drugstores decide to carry them, that is….they tend to be slow out here in the valley of California…

3. Real Techniques Sculpting & Conceal Brush

Who doesn’t love Real Techniques?! If you don’t own any, consider trying one of their kits. They’re great.

Anywho, Real Techniques is coming out with two new brushes. The one I am most excited for is the sculpting brush. It looks like it’d be great for a variety of things! The other brush is their slanted concealer brush.

4. Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation

I’m a fan of Revlon’s Colorstay foundation, and I’m curious to see if this new formula will be any good. If it is, I would definitely prefer this Photoready Airbrush Effect over the Colorstay, because it has a pump!!

5. Rimmel Show-Off Matte Lip Velvet

I own two of the original Show-Off Lip Laquer and love the formula of them. Since I’m all about that matte when it comes to makeup, I am definitely going to purchase a few of these and see how they are. The color selection is really nice, too. I’m really eying the nude-pink one!

And those are the top 5 new products that I’m looking forward to getting and trying out in the weeks ahead. πŸ™‚ Now…if only my local drugstores or Ulta would stock them… πŸ˜›

Lipstick that doesn't kiss off sounds amazing! I always feel like I end up eating mine (the hazards of being a food blogger!), so I don't wear it unless we're going out somewhere special.

Thanks for sharing these! I am definitely going to keep a look out for a few of these now haha. I have been looking for some new lip products and you listed some great ones especially the show off one and the lipstick that won't come off.

Ooh I've tried the L'Oreal Pro-Matte Foundation, and I really like it so far! I also got the pro-matte powder, and the combination of the two is really great. I haven't tried any of the other products you mentioned, but I'll definitely be on the lookout for those next time I'm out shopping!

I love all the real technique brushes, they are such good quality for a low price, they don't shed or anything. Also the Infallible line is always perfect so I expect those lipsticks and the pro matte line won't disappoint.

Stephanie – Haha, I guess that would be a big problem for a good blogger. I just want to be able to kiss my husband when I want to! πŸ˜› But it *would* be nice not to have to retouch after I eat. πŸ™‚

Alicia – I feel like a bunch of brands are coming out with super longwear lipstick. Which is awesome for me — I am really bad when it comes to retouching my lipstick, so if I can do it once and be done….sign me up!

Jessica – That's great to hear! I just picked up that foundation from my local RiteAid today. Can't wait to test it out. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it's the right shade. I HATE trying to find a foundation that matches me — I seem to always get it wrong the first couple of times and I get tired of having to exchange it πŸ˜›

Ana – I know, the brand is pretty amazing for everyone! I really having tried too much in the Infallible line — besides the eyeshadows — so I am looking forward to trying some of these new products out. πŸ™‚

Sammi – Real Techniques is starting to pop up at a lot of place. Walgreens and Wal Mart, I've heard, are both starting to sell them in stores. And Ulta also has them. I can't wait to try that sculpting brush!!

I definitely want to try those Rimmel Show-Off Matte Lipsticks as well! I've become such a lippy girl these last few months and I need to add these to my collection!

I'm just like you – I'm really into lips this year! I work at a local CVS, which is great because I get 20% off on all beauty items!

Personally, I am super excited to try the Rimmel Provocalips.

I also have recently tried Milani cosmetics and found that I really love them – especially their liquid liner.

    Have a great year!

Arianna – You sound like me. I used to have just 5 lip products, that's it…then something happened the last few months of 2014 and I've felt the need to expand. πŸ™‚

Sami – Oh, sweet! 20% off is nice, especially for makeup! I can't wait to try the Rimmel Provocalips. I haven't seen them anywhere yet, but I'm keeping my eye out for them! πŸ™‚

Noor – I just purchased one of L'Oreal's mascara. It was their Voluminous Carbon Black waterproof one, and so far I'm liking it. Gives my lashes a very full, black look. πŸ™‚

Tamra – Yes, those are the lippies I'm most excited out, too!

ElleSees – Sweet! I'm jealous that you've been able to snag them all — I was able to pick up the L'Oreal Infallible foundation the other day, but that's about it. My local drugstores are SO slow to get new products!

Nancy – I just recently bought both of their kits and am totally loving them. They're awesome!

Angela – Haha, Those Rimmel Lipsticks seem to be VERY popular. Can't wait until I can actually try one out! πŸ™‚

I would also choose the ” L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte line’ and the Sculpting brush. All your choices seem quite understandable to me.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte line is what I’d love to try. I’ve used L’oreal infallible before but it’s not been really “matte” as it claims.
