My Review of ColourPop’s Super Shock Shadows
First Impression & Packaging:
I was super excited to receive my ColourPop shadows. I purchased 5 shadows in the colors Hammered, Empire, 3, Too Shy, Smash, and Lace. The packaging is really sleek and fancy looking. I don’t have many makeup shadows that are in white packaging.
When I swatched them on my arm, a few things jumped out. The shadow almost feels wet, and it’s extremely soft to the touch. Very unique!
Product & Application:
As you can see from the swatches, they’re really pigmented. And there is a ton of sparkle in these shadows. To ensure that the eyeshadows themselves don’t dry out, it’s important to twist on the cover very firmly.
Application is pretty easy — I just use my fingers. It gives the colors more density and I don’t have to worry about getting sparkle all up in my brushes. Once on the eyes, they last for hours without loosing any vividness.
Major Likes & Dislikes:
I love how vibrant the colors are! I know the colors I bought weren’t all super vibrant, but I wanted to get a variety for review purposes. I definitely liked the bold colors over the more neutral shades. Another plus about this product is that they’re so affordable and the quality is amazing!
I prefer to use my finger to stamp on the color. The few times I used a brush to apply, or used the color 3 to warm my crease, sparkle would get all around my eyes. That’s about the only con I noticed while using these shadows.
Final Thoughts:
ColourPop is amazing! If you haven’t ever heard of them — and you have any kind of passion for makeup — you need to go and buy at least a few from them to try out! They’re the perfect colors to use if you want to do a neutral eye look with a pop of color under your lower lashline.
ColourPop just released their new matte line. I haven’t tried them yet, but they look great. I’m curious if they’ll feel wet and be as pigmented as their current line of sparkle shadows. To sum it all up — If you’re a makeup junkie who loves glitter, there’s nothing not to like about these shadows!
I purchased the products mentioned above with my own personal money. I was not compensated for posting this review. I only recommend products that I have used personally and believe will be beneficial for my readers.
