About ColourPop Products

Retail: $5
Hey, girl. Love to play? ColourPop is a great way to have fun with
new looks and bold, vivid colorful makeup – without serious commitment.
Priced for experimentation, you can hit it and quit it without totally
blowing the budget. We’re talking $5 for eyeshadow that’s totally
knockout. Haute formulas, rock bottom prices.
Not only are we wallet friendly – we’re also legit friendly. Not just
in a social-media kinda way, but for real. The people who wear
ColourPop are our collaborators, curators, and stylists – tell us what
you want and need and we’ll make it. Cool, right?
Our hero products look great in your go-bag, so you can
apply on the fly and love whipping out your favorite lipstick. With
almost a zillion colors to choose from, ColourPop is majorly shady. So
try something different, be who you want to be today and maybe – someone
else tomorrow.

My Review of ColourPop’s Super Shock Shadows

First Impression & Packaging:
I was super excited to receive my ColourPop shadows. I purchased 5 shadows in the colors Hammered, Empire, 3, Too Shy, Smash, and Lace. The packaging is really sleek and fancy looking. I don’t have many makeup shadows that are in white packaging.

When I swatched them on my arm, a few things jumped out. The shadow almost feels wet, and it’s extremely soft to the touch. Very unique!

Product & Application:
As you can see from the swatches, they’re really pigmented. And there is a ton of sparkle in these shadows. To ensure that the eyeshadows themselves don’t dry out, it’s important to twist on the cover very firmly.

Application is pretty easy — I just use my fingers. It gives the colors more density and I don’t have to worry about getting sparkle all up in my brushes. Once on the eyes, they last for hours without loosing any vividness.

Major Likes & Dislikes:
I love how vibrant the colors are! I know the colors I bought weren’t all super vibrant, but I wanted to get a variety for review purposes. I definitely liked the bold colors over the more neutral shades. Another plus about this product is that they’re so affordable and the quality is amazing!

I prefer to use my finger to stamp on the color. The few times I used a brush to apply, or used the color 3 to warm my crease, sparkle would get all around my eyes. That’s about the only con I noticed while using these shadows.

Final Thoughts:
ColourPop is amazing! If you haven’t ever heard of them — and you have any kind of passion for makeup — you need to go and buy at least a few from them to try out! They’re the perfect colors to use if you want to do a neutral eye look with a pop of color under your lower lashline.

ColourPop just released their new matte line. I haven’t tried them yet, but they look great. I’m curious if they’ll feel wet and be as pigmented as their current line of sparkle shadows. To sum it all up — If you’re a makeup junkie who loves glitter, there’s nothing not to like about these shadows!

Have you ever heard of ColourPop shadows before? Do you like bold colors, or more neutral tones?~  PIN IT  ~

I purchased the products mentioned above with my own personal money. I was not compensated for posting this review. I only recommend products that I have used personally and believe will be beneficial for my readers.

I LOVE Colourpop! I originally discovered them when I went to a makeup seminar for dressyourface in Chicago, and in our goodie bags they had a colourpop pod… ever since, this is all I basically ever use & buy! Even when I use urban decay or anything else… I put Colourpop on top for extra shimmer. You're right, absolutely amazing and the pigment is just WOW! I love your pictures of the colourpop pod's! They are amazing shots… shows off the product really well. 🙂 Great post!

Amna – That's so cool how you discovered this brand! I know, the pigmentation is something else! Thanks, it's always so hard to get a good picture of sparkle, because it tends to not pick up on camera. They're such beautiful shadows!!

Ana – I haven't heard of those shadows, but just the mention of "water" makes me think they'll probably be similar. These shadows feel so cold and wet, I'm always surprised when they apply as easily and beautifully as powder shadows.

Melody – I know, I'm shocked that they're only $5! And they offer free shipping if you order over $30, so it's totally easy to stock up on these shadows without stressing the bank. 🙂

Ravin – You need to! They're so affordable and gorgeous! 😀

Those are such beautiful colors! I ordered from them about two months ago, and I have that color Lace as well! The texture is so different from any other shadows I've tried, and they're just crazy pigmented and gorgeous. I can't wait to buy more of them!

Jessica – I know, aren't they just something else? So beautiful and unique. 🙂

Vicki – Thanks, that was the one I was really intrigued to get, too 🙂

Coline – I know, aren't they just so gorgeous?!

Caitlin – The pigmentation is pretty impressive, and I didn't even need to swipe these a second time to get them to show up like this. It's amazing.

Elle Sees – Oh, you should! They offer free shipping over $30, so it doesn't hurt the wallet *too* much to try a good number of these products out. Oh, and I forgot, if you sign up for their newsletter they'll give you $5 off your first order — which is like getting one for free! 🙂

This brand is totally new to me. But the colors are beautiful and I cannot believe the price! I’d love to have every single one! Thanks for the heads up.
