February 20, 2014 Katie Marie 10 Comments

I hope everyone’s week is going well. It’s Wednesday already — halfway through this week. I don’t know about you all, but the end of February seems to be approaching sooo quickly! Can’t believe it’s already the 19th — it feels like the month just started!

For today (or tonight, by the time this is posted :-), I have a review for one of Glade’s new products. I, personally, love using candles or other fragrances to make my room smell nice, so I was thrilled to be able to review these products!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of a BzzAgent advertorial.

My Review…

First Impression…
I was really excited to get to review the Plug-In Scented Oil Customizables by Glade that alternate between two scents on a daily basis. I am a big fan of Glade’s scented candles and love the Hawaiian Breeze and Vanilla Passion Fruit combo candle that they sell. So, of course, that’s the Plug-In that I got to review! 🙂 There’s just something about the Hawaiian Breeze mixed with the Vanilla Passion Fruit that just smells SO good…almost to the point of being edible! 😀

Packaging/Quality…
Glade really did a lovely job with the packaging of this product. It’s got a really cute latticework that is in a dome shape and covers the oils. It can flip up (as shown in the pictures) to make changing out the oil bottles easier. While it’s all plastic, it feels really sturdy and good quality. There’s even a button on the side that will control how strong the scent comes out of the plug in — which is really nice! At first, I had it on the strongest setting, but that was just too much. So I really appreciated being able to turn it down a few notches so that you just get an overall light and pleasurable scent in the room.

Performance…
This works amazingly well! From the moment you plug it in, you can start to smell the scents. For the combo I got, the Hawaiian Breeze is a bit stronger than the Vanilla Passion Fruit, but both are very nice smelling. I also tested out how long this product lasts and am very pleased to see that, while I’ve plugged it in almost every day for the past week, you can barely tell that any oil is gone from the bottles. Which tells me that these will last a decent amount — at least the 60 days that Glade is boasting of.

Major Likes…
The scent! Haha, okay, while I totally love this smell, I know that’s very subjective and will differ between people. So I will say that my favorite thing about these Plug-Ins Scented Oil Customizables is the packaging. The latticework that covers it is really attractive and makes me want to plug this in somewhere that will help enhance the decor of the room. 🙂

Major Dislikes…
Hmm…there really isn’t any thing that comes to mind that I didn’t like. The scent is nice, you can control how strong it is, and you have the ability to only plug it in for as long as you want. If I had to name anything I disliked about this product, it would be the name. Haha, I know, weird! But I just think that Plug-Ins Scented Oil Customizables is a long name that doesn’t really flow. 😛

Final Thoughts…
If you haven’t been able to tell from this review so far….I thoroughly enjoy these scented oil plug ins! They are super handy to use — especially if you have little ones in the house and don’t want to be leaving burning candles out for them to get a hold of. It’s also really nice that you can plug it in for a few hours, then put it away and still smell the lingering scents for hours afterwards. I give this product from Glade two big thumbs up! 🙂

I received this product from BzzAgent for free in order to review. It was not required that I give a positive review, but solely to express my own thoughts and opinions of this product, which I have done. I only recommend products and/or services that I have personally used or experienced and like.

Glade Customizables? This is so cool! I've been hooked on wax warmers lately so I've gotten away from the standard Glade Plug-Ins, but this is a nice twist. I haven't seen these in stores yet, but I will be on the lookout for sure. Thanks!

Tomi – I know, I love it! And I can tell when it changes sometimes, because we'll all start asking, "What's that new smell?" Haha, love it!

Nicole – Yeah, it's really neat! Be on the look out, I found mine at WalMart. 🙂

Krystal – Yes, they do! I love candles and have a pretty nice collection. If I ever spend a long time in my room during the day, I'm sure to light (or plug in, now 🙂 a candle.

It's very neat! Did you like this or the wax melts better? Or were they just different?

Kate – I personally liked the wax melts more, as I enjoy having a candle burning in my room. But this was really nice to have around the house as I didn't have to worry about any of the little one's accidentally burning themselves or knocking over a candle. So, it really depends on the person it's intended for 🙂

Luz – Oh really? Yikes! That would stink! But at least Glade has the same scents in regular candles. I love the convenience of these plug ins…but at the same time, I just love lighting a match and burning a candle… 🙂

The holders are really pretty! But other than that, there's nothing good about plugins. It's synthetic fragrance and is connected with all sorts of health problems. I used to love them and had them all over my house. Now I can't stand to be in a house that has them. It gives me an instant headache! I'd rather use natural essential oils that don't harm me.

Robin – Hmm, I've heard that before. That's a bummer that they can cause headaches like that. I've never looked into essential oils to make the house smell nice…but that's definitely a "safe" way to enjoy a nice smell and still stay healthy. Thanks for the tip!
